Top Apple Mac Air Commercial Spoofs

Apple Mac Air commercial is one of the best ads in recent memory. Because of its phenomenal appeal, from Yael Naim’s background score to using that distinct manila envelope, it should come as no surprise that many would be inspired to carry it further by directing their own version of it, and a funny one at that.
There were a little over 250 parodies of it on Youtube when we went live with this post. More are being continually added every day. After studying a whole bunch of them over a period of couple of days (it would be insane to commit to check out all of them) and ranking them using the following benchmarks - Funny, Originality, Slick video editing, Youtube views, comments and favorited, I have short listed the following videos.
In all there are nine videos, the least I could narrow it down so as to show only those which had some elements of the benchmarks outlined above.
The videos are in ascending order. Starting with the lowest ranked, they keep getting better as you watch them.
A. An old junky bulky Dell laptop is salvaged especially for this purpose, making the Mac Parody ad. The guy even managed to show the classic Window blue error screen!
B. Not unlike the Mac, but hey the good ol’ tower cabinet fits inside the envelope .
C. Mac Air doesn’t have USB ports or a CD drive. This one is also kinda like that!
D. This guy is a major Mac Air fan and says Why Not Mac Air?
E. According to this guy, the big idea behind showing how easily a Mac Air fits inside the manila envelope is to convey the message that this product would be easy to return.
F. Wal-Mart Mac Rock, Get them while you think they are in the stock.
G. If the McDonalds executives are asked to make a new version of McAir Burger.
H. Dell’s response to Mac Air Ad - The Super Manilla Envelope, you can stuff everything inside.
I. Winner! This one easily tops for exploring the depth of the subject - Thin. Obsession with being slim and the effect it would have on other “fat” notebooks. Much like the current debate on anorexic fashion models.
