July 4th Treats

July 4th preparations have already started in full swing and one tip that I have been getting constantly is, there is going to be free food. Lots and lots of it everywhere. (My initial response to that was, you mean in the restaurants?)

Apparently, on the day America got its freedom, they want food to be the last of your worries. Uncle Sam wants you to be well fed and contended.

Free Bon Jovi Conert

New York City officials have just confirmed that  Bon Jovi will be playing a free concert for its fans in Central Park this summer.

The show is going to be held on July 12th and is billed as a prelude to the July 15th All-Star baseball game, which is going to be highlight the final season at Yankee Stadium.

Flagstaff Helicopter Crash

Just heard it over the news. In a scene right out of Hollywood, two helicopters on medical duty collided in mid air in Arizona. This is definitely bound to get the Federal Aviation on their tail.

In one helicopter, all three occupants were killed. From the other, three were reported in critical condition and receiving emergency treatment near the Flagstaff hospital.

Disney World’s FastPasses

Going to entertainment parks is a popular activity during summers as the schools are closed and weather is also favorable for such family outings.

If you will be heading to the Disney parks for the first time, don’t forget to use their FastPass system which would enable you to spend less time waiting in lines and more time enjoying the rides.

Disney’s FASTPASS allows guests to make ‘reservations’ for a popular ride to avoid waiting in long lines.

Code Geass R2

Code Geass is a japanese anime television series, but extremely popular here in United States as well. It was created by Sunrise, directed by Goro Taniguchi, and written by Ichiro Okouchi. Both the director and writer have earlier worked on another Sunrise series, the acclaimed Planetes, Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion features original character designs by Clamp.

Disney’s Cheetah Girls

Sabrina Bryan is part of The Cheetah Girls, and has appeared in the Disney Channel Cheetah Girls
movies as well. A third one is set to be released sometime soon and if rumors are to be believed
– in August 2008.

The Cheetah Girls’ album “TCG” debuted yesterday.

If you don’t know what this is all about, then a bit of a background for you. A four member teen
girl group named the Cheetah Girls go to a Manhattan High School for the Performing Arts and
try to become the first freshmen to win the talent show in the school’s history.
