Look Back In Time – About Secretariat

I loved this movie. And looks like people who saw this movie loved it and are now searching for more information on this. If you are, you have come to the right page.

Secretariat was born in 1970 and died in 1989. In all the big brown Secretariat live for 19 years and boy what years where they. In the next few outlines you will see this was no run of the mill race horse.

Secretariat was all American red blooded Thoroughbred racehorse. Soon after Secretariat was born, to be precise, in 1973, Secretariat won the first U.S. Triple Crown champion. And mind you, this was after twenty-five years since the last time an all American red blooded horse won like this.

In the process, Secretariat set a new record in two of the three races in the Kentucky and Belmont stakes.

The movie is a big hit.

The record is still standing today. Even after 35 years plus we have not seen a thoroughbred like Secretariat.

Who were Secretariat’s mommy and daddy.

Secretariat was sired by Bold Ruler out of Somethingroyal, by Princequillo. He was foaled at Meadow Farm in Caroline County, Virginia. Like his famous predecessor Man o’ War, Secretariat was a large chestnut colt and was given the same nickname, “Big Red.”

I have pasted some photos of this majestic being below. Check them out.
