FDA Discovers “Unsanitary Conditions” at Egg Recall Farms in Iowa

The egg recall farms are under intense scrutiny of the FDA.  The egg recall farms were discovered to have “unsanitary conditions” after a visit from the regulatory body.  The results of the investigation are disturbing.  At the Wright County Egg farm in Galt, Iowa, several nasty things were discovered.
First, there were maggots. I don’t know about you, but that makes my stomach churn.  Second, there were rodents and rodent feces present in the henhouses. That’s enough to make me eat eggbeaters for the rest of my life right there!

Third, there were flies “too numerous to count” and once again the maggots were “too numerous to count” as well.
Granted Wright County Egg wasn’t in the business of selling to the general public, but still there were many food safety violations made by the farm. It’s gross.

Over half a billion eggs have been recalled.  Consumers are advised to select pasteurized eggs to avoid salmonella contamination.  In addition, cooking eggs thoroughly SHOULD kill off the salmonella bacteria…but why take the chances?

Starcraft Skills are Creditworthy for University of Florida Students

Starcraft skills can earn you honors college credit…if you are a University of Florida Gator.   Imagine being able to play your favorite video game, and use that to help you get to your degree.

An eight week 2 credit hour course called 21st century Skills in StarCraft will be offered at the Gainesville campus.  I can’t say that I am all too shocked, considering that there are much easier classes likely offered.

The course’s instructor says:

“With society becoming increasingly technology-based and fast-paced, it is important for professionals to be highly proficient in skills such as critical thinking, problem solving, resource management, and adaptive decision making. These skills are fundamental in Starcraft and therefore make the game a highly effective environment for students to analyze and take action in complex situations.”

Hmm.  Sounds interesting to say the very least.  If you were at Florida, would you enroll in the course?

Keeping up with the Kardashians: Kim Compliments Khole’s…Womanhood (VIDEO)

Keeping up with the Kardashians is full of drama, and this week Kim complimented Khloe’s vagina of all body parts.  Now why would the girls’ discussion go…er…below the belt.

As with everything else that the family does, they can’t go at it alone.  Khloe went to have laser hair removal, and wanted Kim there for moral support.

Kim said that Khloe’s vajayjay was “better looking” than she thought.  She thought it would be a “shaved, red rashy” unit.

Hmm. Given that the girls are worth millions, I wouldn’t have thought that at all. I’m actually surprised that this was Khloe’s first laser hair removal experience, given her Armenian roots.
Still yet, this signifies that with the Kardashians you never know what is going to pop out of their mouths next. That is what keeps us tuning in week after week.

Khloe did not reciprocate and say anything about Kim’s vagina.

Tiger Woods Update: Tiger’s Bachelor Pad in Sexy Manhattan

Tiger Woods’ update includes news that the famed scandalous golfer is moving to a bachelor pad in Manhattan.  US Magazine reports that sources told the magazine that Woods introduced himself as “The new neighbor” at a swanky downtown Manhattan apartment.

Many are estimating that Tiger could be getting closer to the famed Rachel Uchitel, the New York socialite who was involved in the scandal to begin with.

Tiger’s divorce is finally final, and he’s moved away from Florida where he shared a life with Elin.  Maybe he needs a change of scenery.  Then again, maybe he may be jumping out of the skillet and into the fire, getting involved with the very woman that got his marriage torn apart.

Still yet, Manhattan offers a great backdrop for the lifestyle that Woods apparently wants.  There are plenty of exclusive nightclubs, and an endless stream of young women with stars in their eyes.

Do you think Tiger will continue to be a ladies man?

Girl Throws Puppy into River Video Angers Animal Adorers

A girl throws puppy into river video is going viral today, and it’s angering animal lovers. I can’t say that I blame them.  After all, seeing a puppy thrown into a river with no defenses is BEYOND disturbing.

Last week, the viral video was of a woman throwing a cat in a garbage bin and walking away.  She did this thinking that no one would see her, but she was caught on video surveillance.
However, this more sinister video is of a girl taking a bucket full of black puppies and one by one throwing them into the river. No emotion is shown.

Some are calling for the arrest of the girl, but there is no information on where the video was taped and who posted the video.  Animals are innocent, and I can’t help but feel sorry for them when they are preyed upon like this.

Here is a link to the girl throws puppy into river video.  What are your thoughts…should she be punished for this action?

Signs of Life Return to 911 Ground Zero

Signs of life are returning to the site of the 9/11 attacks, as trees were planted today in what is morphing into a wonderful memorial to those who lost their lives at the terrorist attack.  The memorial park was designed by Israeli-American architect Michael Arad.  The trees planted today at Ground Zero are white swamp oak trees, which are 25 feet tall right now, but will grow to an estimated 80 feet tall.

Those trees will be able to hold up to the harsh New York winters, and will be irrigated by a complex underground system. There’s still a lot of work to be done at ground zero, but it’s a start to a beautiful memorial.

The controversy lies with Park51, a mosque some 300 yards from Ground Zero.  The 13 story Islamic community center has created an uproar by those who think that it is insensitive to build an Islamic center so close to ground zero.

Blue Ranger Quit Power Rangers After Gay Taunts

The former Blue Power Ranger came forward and said he quit after being chastised for being gay. The Blue Ranger was the onlyPower Ranger who was present in all 200 of the original series.  David Yost is his name, and he played Billy Cranston.  Well, now Yost is coming forward and shedding some light over why he left the series.

When the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers became Power Rangers Zeo, Yost’s character became a “technical advisor” and then his character eventually went to another planet to live.

Yost says he was tired of all the gay taunts.  He was called the “f” too much.  In an interview, he said “I had just heard that several times while working on the show from creators, producers, writers, directors… Basically I just felt like i was continually being told I was not worthy of being where I am because I’m a gay person. And I’m not supposed to be an actor. And I’m not a superhero.”

Being gay is not as big a taboo anymore as it was in years past. Ken Mehlman, the former RNC Chairman and former Bush election campaign manager recently came out of the closet.
