New Moon

The movie is based on the second book, New Moon, in the Twilight series about a teenage vampire romance by author Stephenie Meyer.  It opens in the United States and Canada on Friday, November 20, 2009, but fans have already been buying tickets in advance.  Online ticket sellers Fandango.com and MovieTickets.com reported this week that “New Moon” is their biggest advance ticket seller of all time.  (To buy advance tickets to “New Moon” and find show times near you, click here.)

The movie is expected to gross nearly $100 million from movie theater box offices when it debuts this weekend, and score one of the biggest openings ever for a non-summer film, according to Reuters.  The first film in the series, “Twilight,” which debuted one year ago, reportedly made $69.6 million in its first weekend at the box office.

The Hollywood premiere with the cast of “New Moon” was held on Monday at Mann’s Village Theater in Westwood, CA.  Some fans camped out several days ahead of time to get a close spot in hopes of meeting the cast at the premiere.

“New Moon” stars Taylor Lautner, Robert Pattinson, and Kristen Stewart.  It follows the romance between teenager Bella Swan (Stewart) and vampire Edward Cullen (Pattinson), along with her friendship with werewolf Jacob Black (Lautner).  For more about the film, check out the official Web site.

Target Black Friday ads 2009: 2009 Black Friday ads at Target are awesome

Target Black Friday ads 2009 are awesome.  The 2009 Black Friday deals available at Target come in close with those at Walmart and Best Buy.  The best deals in the Target Black Friday ads are hands-down the $3 appliances.  For just $3, you can get a high-quality appliance from Chefmate.  Your options include a slow cooker, toaster, or blender.

If appliances aren’t your thing, don’t sweat it.  The Target Black Friday 2009 ad has plenty of items of clothing available for $5, including infant and toddler sleep sets, women’s and men’s fleece pants, and a jersey scarf.  There are also many other great deals on apparel  available for shoppers.

Target has a Nikon Coolpix digital camera on sale for $88.  This is great considering it’s almost impossible to find a Nikon under $100.  Make Aston Kutcher proud this year and purchase a Nikon during the Target Black Friday 2009 sale.

If you plan on purchasing an HDTV this year, a 6-foot HDMI cable is only $9.99.  There are also SD cards and flash drives featured in the Target Black Friday 2009 ads.

Everyone young and old can find something at Target’s Black Friday sale. If you don’t feel like braving the Walmart sale, Target will give you amazing deals as well.

Best Buy Black Friday Deals 2009: Black Friday Deals 2009 at Best Buy are Amazing

Best Buy Black Friday Deals 2009 are hot.  Best Buy is a hotspot for many Black Friday 2009 shoppers.  Although Walmart boasts the most anticipation over 2009 Black Friday deals available on the biggest shopping day of the year, Best Buy and Target are close runners in the competition.

If you are in the market for a laptop, you need to head on over to Best Buy this year.  A Compaq netbook with 160 GB hard drive is only $179.99.  To give you an idea of what a great bargain this is, I recently purchased an HP Mini for $300. At the time, I thought that was a great deal. If you need a 250 GB hard drive, there’s a similar model for $229.99, which is still a great Best Buy Black Friday 2009 deal.

If you are an Apple lover, Best Buy Black Friday deals 2009 don’t leave you out in the cold.  You can purchase a MacBook for $999.99 with a $150 gift card.  An iPod touch 3rd generation is only $199.99 with a free $30 gift card to boot.

Need a new digital camera? Best Buy will hook you up with some awesome deals during the 2009 sales.  A Kodak EasyShare digital camera WITH a 7” digital photo frame is only $109.99.  A Nikon 10.2 megapixel camera is only $499.99.  A Sony cybershot will run you $119.97, and comes with a spiffy case.

TV deals are also available at Best Buy.  Although it will be hard to beat Walmart’s $598 50” Sanyo, you can buy a 50” 1080p Samsung HDTV for $897.77.  Remember – Walmart’s Sanyo is only 720p. A similar Samsung 720p is available for $697.

Although many consumers are heading to Walmart first, at least consider running over to Best Buy – especially if you need electronics.  Their Black Friday 2009 deals are amazing, and will help you have an affordable Christmas.

Black Friday Walmart Ad 2009: Ad at Walmart Gives Best Black Friday 2009 Deals

The Black Friday Walmart Ad 2009 has been anticipated for days. The Black Friday Walmart Ad 2009 has great deals.  Walmart’s Black Friday deals are going to please even the pickiest of shoppers.  The best Deal at Walmart is a 50 inch Sanyo Plasma 720p HDTV for $598.

Of course, 720p isn’t the highest resolution supported by HDTVs. However, in my home I have both a 720p and a 1080p TV.  The 720p is crystal clear, and the only time you can really see a difference is when you are watching a Blu-Ray disc.

Need a Blu-Ray? Walmart’s Black Friday sales are going to hook you up there, too. You can get a Blu-Ray player for $78 on Black Friday.

Not sure how to get home from Walmart? While you are there, pick up a $59 TomTom.  I must tell you, I purchased a TomTom when they first came out, and paid over $200.  It was one of the best gadgets I have ever bought.

The Black Friday Walmart Ad 2009 also includes $7 reversible fleece jackets and $3 children’s sleepwear.  If you were lucky enough to purchase a BlackBerry handset for $99 with a $100 Walmart gift card recently, Black Friday is the day to use that card and get more for your money.

The Walmart Black Friday ad has gotten the most attention.  Consumers are looking to Walmart to get the best deal for their money this shopping season.  Walmart is keeping stores open 24 hours on Thanksgiving to help with crowd control on Black Friday. This is in response to last year’s trampling death of a temporary worker.

Prejean Tapes: 8 Carrie Prejean Sex Tapes Desired by Vivid

Prejean tapes are hot.  So hot, that Vivid Entertainment wants the Carrie Prejean sex tapes and Prejean tapes to use in a porno film.  This opportunity could allow Carrie Prejean to make “millions” and could give plenty of people the opportunity to see the Carrie Prejean sex tapes virus-free.

Of course, Carrie Prejean has frolicked around, pretending to be wholesome and pure.  The tapes were the “biggest mistake” of her life and were taken when she was “only 17.”  We all know the truth now – she was over 18 when the Prejean tapes were made.  Now, what was her “biggest mistake” could become her “biggest bankroll.”

Her mother says “absolutely not!” to the deal posed to Prejean’s lawyers.  However, given the facts and circumstances surrounding Carrie Prejean, I don’t think it’s such a bad idea.  After all, eventually the tapes will be leaked and available online on reputable Web sites.  Selling the videos to Vivid Entertainment could help Carrie Prejean at least make some moolah off the deal.

I read the letter from Steven Hirsch, Co-Chairman of Vivid Entertainment, as it is posted on both Gather.com and TMZ.com.  He wants to use the tapes which were produced for her boyfriend “following a four day rendezvous in February 2007” and realizes that the footage “has the potential of being the most successful adult video of all time.”

The idea pitched by Hirsch will take the Carrie Prejean sex tapes and distribute them on Vivid.com under the “Vivid Celeb” imprint.  Prior releases include sex tapes made by Kim Kardashian, former Miss USA Kelli McCarty, and Shauna Sand.

Whether or not Carrie Prejean jumps on this offer is up to her.  Sex sells and everyone is buying – so why shouldn’t Prejean make some money off her naughty tapes instead of letting it leak for free?

Prejean Tapes: 8 Sex Tapes and a Controversy Surround Carrie Prejean

Prejean tapes are still hot.  For almost a week, Prejean tapes have been on the top of Google Trends.  One Carrie Prejean sex tape was released on Wednesday, and caused quite a stir.  In fact, the tape played a role in the settlement of a lawsuit and even landed Carrie Prejean on CNN’s “Larry King Live.”

If you missed Carrie Prejean’s “Larry King Live” performance, you should find a clip of it online.  She called Larry King “inappropriate”, refused to talk to a gay caller, and even threatened to walk off the show.  Carrie Prejean showed her true colors of being a self-righteous spoiled individual unable to come clean when she made a mistake.

The first Carrie Prejean tape that was released was so graphic that not even celebrity gossip site TMZ would post the tape.  The tape allegedly featured Carrie Prejean carrying out a “solo performance.”  Rumor has it, Prejean’s mom was even in the room when the Miss California pageant showed her a 15 second clip.

Prejean told reporters that the tape was the “biggest mistake” of her life and that she was “only 17” when they were made.  Of course, more reports surfaced that debunked her allegations.  An ex boyfriend confirmed that not only was Carrie Prejean over 18, she also made several other tapes as well.

Searching for the Prejean tapes isn’t such a good idea.  There are many sites that are popping up and they will do nothing more to you than leave your computer chock full of viruses and spyware.  Do yourself a favor if you are going to search out the tapes:  have someone else do it for you.  Either that, or wait until the tapes hit a legitimate site.

Carrie Prejean will no longer be remembered as a former Miss California winner.  She will be remembered as the girl who dissed gay marriage in front of Perez Hilton, the loser of the Miss USA pageant, the fired Miss California, and the girl with all the sex tapes.

Sarah Palin Newsweek Cover: A Distraction Dubbed “Sexist” by Sarah Palin

Sarah Palin’s Newsweek cover is receiving a lot of press.  Sarah Palin on the Newsweek cover was a photo that she took for a magazine “Runners World” and featured Palin in her running attire with her legs showing.  Newsweek asked on the cover “How Do You Solve a Problem like Sarah?”

Sarah Palin attacked the Newsweek cover on her FaceBook account.  You a have to ask yourself the question: is the cover really sexist, or is this another attention-grabbing distraction on the part of the former Vice Presidential hopeful and former Alaskan Governor?

Sarah Palin’s Facebook attack read:

The Runner’s World magazine one-page profile for which this photo was taken was all about health and fitness – a subject to which I am devoted and which is critically important to this nation. The out-of-context Newsweek approach is sexist and oh-so-expected by now…

Do you think that the Sarah Palin Newsweek cover is sexist?   While I personally don’t think that the cover was sexist, I think that the publication could have used a better, more professional photograph for their cover.  They could have at least asked for Palin’s input as well. The article wasn’t at all a positive article for Palin.  If you don’t realize that, you obviously didn’t read the words on the front cover that read “She’s bad news for the GOP – and for everyone else, too”

Newsweek wanted to show readers that Palin distracts, deflects, and is an empty political shell.  Although these are not the personal views I share, I still encourage readers to look up and read the article.  Getting both sides of a story and seeing things from multiple aspects is particularly important in politics.

Of course, the drama surrounding the Newsweek cover distracts people from the core questions surrounding Palin, including – will she run for President in 2012?

I guess we will have to wait to find out.

Carrie Prejean Sex Tape Always A Big Controversy: Will Carrie Prejean Ever Live the Sex Tape(s) Down?

The Carrie Prejean sex tape(s) are still a big controversy for Carrie Prejean.  Will the sex tape hype ever die down? Although the excitement surrounding the tapes has died down somewhat, people are still curious about the tape.  After all, isn’t there a little bit of a voyeur in all of us?

I don’t think Carrie Prejean will ever live the sex tapes and racy photos down.  After all, Erin Andrews peephole video is months old and people are still searching for it.  Carrie Prejean was more exposed than Miss Andrews in her video, so chances are the hype will remain even hotter.

Adding to the hype is the fact that Carrie Prejean lied about the tapes and tried to deflect blame. She was allegedly “only 17” when she made the tapes (which she also claimed were the “biggest mistake” of her life…).  She also allegedly only made one tape.  However, an ex-boyfriend surfaced and confirmed that Carrie Prejean was over 18 when the tapes were made, and there were several tapes made.

Rumor has it that there are 8 sex tapes available.  That is 7 additional tapes and the original leaked tape last week.  We know that the first sex tape includes Carrie Prejean making a “solo performance.”  Details of the other 7 tapes have yet to be leaked.

Will Carrie Prejean ever live the sex tapes down? Probably not.  After all, she did lie about them.  Furthermore, sex sells and everyone’s buying – so as long as the tapes are out there, people will hunt for them.   In addition, lying about the tapes and throwing a fit on Larry King Live was enough to make many people who otherwise wouldn’t have cared very curious, and therefore make them hunt for the pictures.

First, you need to make sure that you get up early.  Chances are you aren’t the only one desiring the $246 TV or the $3 appliances.  Quantities are limited.  I always like to get to the sales approximately 2 hours before the store opens if I am going to a small time, and 4 hours if I am in a large city.

Walmart Black Friday 2009 Deals: Walmart, Walmart That’s Our Store, We Shop There ‘Cause We Save More!

Walmart’s Black Friday 2009 sales are sure to please.  Although the official Walmart Black Friday 2009 ad hasn’t been released, the anticipation of the Black Friday sales is building.  Next Sunday, papers throughout the United States will deliver what every woman is anxious for: the Black Friday ads.

I know when I get the Black Friday ads, I am going to look through them and decide exactly how I am going to plan my Black Friday shopping day.  Although I don’t know where I will go first, Walmart is definitely towards the top of my list.

Walmart is keeping their ad close to home. I have searched high and low across a variety of sites that advertise leaked Black Friday 2009 ads, and all I can find are deals that are available throughout the holiday season.  For instance, the 100 toys for $10 deal.

Walmart is giving hungry shoppers a small taste of holiday savings – just enough to tide them over, but not enough to fully satisfy them.  Deals on BlackBerry handsets from AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon were recently available.  The cost for many of the handsets were $99.99, but you also received a $100 Walmart gift card, making the hand sets free.

Where do I think Walmart shoppers will save the most this year? I think TVs, laptops, small electronics, and toys will give shoppers the biggest savings.  I wouldn’t be surprised to see big-screen TVs for less than other competitors.  I am hoping to see a bunch of markdowns on clothing and baby supplies as well.
