Captain Lou Albano, a former professional wrestler and manager, passed away Friday morning at the age of 76.
The World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) announced on its Web site that they were “saddened to learn about the passing of one of the company’s most popular and charismatic legends, ‘Captain Lou Albano.’ WWE extends its deepest condolences to the Albano family.”

Albano, whose full name is Louis Vincent Albano, started in wrestling in the 1960s with partner Tony Altimore, as part of the duo, “The Sicilians.” He performed for the WWE from 1983 to 1996, and was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 1996.
Albano is also known for teaming up with pop star Cyndi Lauper in the 1980s. She appeared with him on wrestling programming leading up to Wrestlemania, and he starred as her father in several of her music videos, most famously in “Girls Just Want to Have Fun.”
He also made several television appearances over the years, and released an autobiography in 2008, “Often Imitated, Never Duplicated.”

During a performance of a Broadway play, “A Steady Rain,” a cell ringing cell phone interrupted Hugh Jackman and Daniel Craig.

Jackman tells the owner of the ringing cell phone, “You want to get that?” as the audience erupts in cheers. As the ringing persists, Jackman pleads: “Come on, just turn it off.” He then paces the stage of the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre, waits about a minute for the ringing to stop. The audience cheers.
Derrion Albert, an honor student in Chicago was beaten to death on his way home from school. The video shows three teenagers hitting Albert with a large piece of wood while he lay on the ground.
Each of the teenagers charged as adults for first degree murder charges are being arraigned today. According to witnesses, the beating broke out on the street between two gangs and Albert was caught in the middle. The police are still searching for other teenagers shown in this video are asking people to come forward with any details.
The Miley Cyrus video for Party in the USA has been officially released, after a 90 second clip of it was shown this week on Dancing with the Stars. This song is already a huge hit in the US, holding the # 1 position for the last 6 weeks on iTunes, and has sold over 1,000,000 downloads so far.
Current flavor of the reality season, mom Kate Gosselin taped a pilot for a new TV show and unsurprisingly everybody gave her rave reviews.
According to one of the junior associates who works on the show, the pilot went extremely well and everybody simply loved it. According to this associate, the support crew and media executives simply loved Kate and she did a great job out there. The view is unanimous that Kate would be a big hit in this reality show.

To promote the new show Kate Gosselin visited the set of popular show ABC’s The View last week and debuted a new hair style.
When the hosts of The View told Kate about the reviews she had gotten so far for her new pilot, Kate said she was not surprised.
But then immediately Whoopi jumped on Kate and started slamming her on over the custody dispute she is currently having with her ex husband. Whoopi Goldberg initiated a heated argument with Kate Gosselin when she brought up a recent custody battle where cops were called to the Gosselin home after Kate showed up during Jon’s court-allotted time with the tots.
