The 2010 Winter Olympics kick off Friday night with the opening ceremony in Vancouver.

Performers for the opening ceremony include Bryan Adams, Nelly Furtado, and Sarah McLachlan, according to NBC. 

Among the other highlights of the opening ceremony will be the world broadcast premiere of the music video for the 2010 version of “We Are the World.”  The new version was re-made to benefit victims of the Haiti earthquake, and includes singers such as Celine Dion, Barbra Streisand, Miley Cyrus, Jamie Foxx, and more. The 2010 Winter Olympics opening ceremony will air live on Friday at 7:30 p.m. (ET) on NBC.
