Michelle Duggar and Duggar baby update: Michelle Duggar has been released from the hospital after giving birth to her 19th child 15 weeks early via emergency C-section. With the baby born so early, she (the baby is a girl) will have to stay in the hospital for some time. Michelle Duggar, on the other hand, is going to be able to return home to her other 18 children and husband.
How is Josie Brooklyn Duggar doing? Babies born at 25 weeks gestation do have a chance at survival, although there are significant risks involved. Sometimes, these babies develop long term problems – or worse, die. However, the Duggar baby is said to be doing as good as can be expected. There’s also more reason to rejoice for the family.
Josie Brooklyn has been able to keep down breast milk.
Breast milk will help this preemie build up her immune system. Out of three feedings, she has been able to keep down two.
Baby Duggar has a long way to go before all is said and done and she is able to go home. It is said that many preemies stay in the hospital until around their original due date. If this is true, then Josie Brooklyn will be in the hospital for over 3 months until she is able to go home.
