Michelle Duggar: Duggar’s 19th Baby Born Via C-Section

Michelle Duggar and Jim Bob Duggar are 2 Arkansans with an extraordinary story.  Michelle Duggar just had her 19th baby.  Not only is the Duggar’s 19th baby a shocker in and of herself, she was also born 15 weeks early at 25 weeks gestation.

Michelle Duggar, Jim Bob Duggar and their 18 other children have been featured on TLC’s “18 Kids and Counting”. Many people have reacted to the Duggar’s growing brood with a wide variety of emotions.  The Duggars do not believe in birth control.

The Duggar’s 19th baby was born early due to a condition called pre-eclampsia.  This condition only affects 5-8% of all pregnancies.

Michelle Duggar’s pre-eclampsia was identified only after she arrived at the University of Arkansas Medical Centers for pain caused by a gall stone.  Once the life-threatening condition was identified, doctors worked tirelessly to save both Michelle Duggar and the baby.

Both Michelle and baby #19 are doing well.  The baby is a little girl named Josie Brooklyn, and little Josie weighed 1 pound and 6 ounces.

Michelle Duggar is in stable condition, and Josie Brooklyn is also in stable condition.  Josie will most likely spend a few weeks in the NICU as she was born over 3 months early.

Everyone wishes Michelle Duggar and the baby luck.
