I didn’t hear much about the California fires for a few weeks but now this trouble is back with a loud bang. If you are looking for California fire status, this time it is the Telegraph fire (we will be providing you the Telegraph fire map. You should also be aware that this fire is not too far from the Yosemite Park and might also be known in media as Yosemite fire).
Check out my coverage of other major California fires from here: Sacramento Fire, Big Sur Fire, Ridge Fire, Santa Barbara Fire, Northern California Fires, Napa Fires, Wild Fires Pictures, Bonny Doon Fires.
Anyway coming to the latest fire, this time the hills of Mariposa County are bearing the brunt and the crackling sound of devastating fire, which is gobbling up everything in sight, can be heard from far away. The smoke also makes sure just in case you miss the sound, you can miss the sight.
People living there described the situation as panicky where you just pick up the most important things and leave the rest at the mercy of fire gods.
About 300 hundred people have been evacuated and many described as having no idea whether their homes are still standing or not. About a 1000 have been placed on stand by.
Meanwhile, fire crews continue to display courage under fire and fight without giving up against all odds. Hats off to these brave men!
Even though Air tankers are being used to quell the fire, the terrain and weather are acting against the efforts.

If you are looking to find out how the fire started, well, somebody was target shooting in the area and apparently the shots ignited the fires which resulted in a major blaze. He is not being held accountable.
I think I agree with the decision because after all, what all can you keep banning in the state or county. If the area is like a tinder box, something or the other is going to end up starting a blaze.
In spite of all the efforts, only about 10% of the fire is contained so far. Sure looks like an uphill task.
If you are from the affected areas, or know somebody from that area, what is the ground report and what has the experience been like. Share it below so that country knows whats happening in that corner.
