Mexico is in the direct path of tropical storm Dolly and is starting to be hit by it. Recently there were some showers unleashed on that nation as the storm sped towards the Cancun area.
According to IHT:
A tropical storm warning was in effect from Campeche, Mexico, to the Belize border. The center of the storm was about 165 miles (265 kilometers) southeast of the island tourist destination Cozumel on Sunday evening, according to the U.S. National Hurricane Center.
Dolly has been gathering speed of about 14 mph and has been moving northwest, on course to cross the Yucatan on Sunday night and reach the Gulf of Mexico on Monday. The storm had sustained winds of 45 mph (75 kph) with higher gusts.
However, in spite of the weather dangers, one hard American tourist was reported as saying that the storm would not affect his vacation plans. Way to go!
