SSC Results

Good news for the education department.

After HSC showed tremendous performance, the Maharashtra State Board’s success story is set to take the success story further as well. According to some news reports, SSC results too have witnessed a quantum jump of around 16%.

Last year the state passing percentage was 70.6%, but this year it is expected to jump to 86%. In 2006, the state’s pass percentage was 64.59% and 57.31% in 2005. Overall the students seem to be doing better in the board exams.

Nagpur division too has done remarkably well in the overall results with a likely jump of 25%. Last year, the pass percentage was 53.41%, while this year it is expected to be around 79%.

Even though Nagpur did well, it is going to maintain its legacy of finishing at the bottom over all.

Also one big change noticed this year is the transformation in Mathematics and English. Mathematics has recorded the best result with over 91% students clearing the exam, while the pass percentage in English is 85%.

These are the two subjects that were often refered to as “killer subjects”, but with such high percentage of students not only passing but getting good grades means the concept of “killer subject” no longer is applicable.

TechBanyan wishes all the students good luck in their future endeavors.
