Myotonic Hypertrophy

Myotonic dystrophy is a continuing, slowly advancing, highly variable genetic multisystemic illness that can inflict at any age from birth to old age.

It is qualified by wasting of the muscles, your bottom subcapsular iridescent cataracts, heart conduction defects, endocrine changes and the difficulty of relaxing a muscle. Most notably, the highly variable age of onset decreases with successive generations.

The disease shows at an earlier age in successive propagations, a phenomenon termed expectation. There are two categorizations of DM, each having different associated symptoms.
