Tara Kirk is from Washington state and she is a professional swimmer. Tara represented United States of America in the Olympics and set a world short course meters record in the 100 meters event. She is a graduate of the Stanford University and a star swimmer for the Stanford sports team.
Tara Kirk holds the United States record in the 100 meter and 200 meter breast strokes, which was accomplished 3 years ago in 2006. She also holds the American Record in the 50 short-course meter breaststroke.
Tara Kirk is the only female participant to swim the 100-meter breaststroke in under 58 seconds. Also note that the next fastest person in the history of this event is Megan Jendrick who posted a time of 58.87.
