Heisman Trophy Winners have been announced and Oklahoma gets to eat the cake for it is Bradford and it is their own Bradford.
Sam Bradford, the quarterback from Oklahoma is tonights hero and he won it in style. Bradford came to Norman some three years ago with not much expectations. In fact he was recruited as a secondary to the then QB Rhett Bomar. Rhett was the numero uno of his time.
But hey, the cream always rises to the top and nobody can do anything to hold them down and similar is the case with Bradford. So his lucky stars were all but sealed when on Saturday night when he won the Heisman Trophy. This trophy is given to those who outshine and outperform among the college football players.
But this was not something that came linearly and straight forward. There were other contenders as well. Texas quarterback Colt McCoy was a strong contender. Florida quarterback Tim Tebow was another one.
Bradford the sophomore guided this team Sooners to the most dynamic season in Footballs modern history and this is evident from the 702 points scored by his team. He in fact led college football with 48 touchdown passes and guess how many interceptions? Just six!
Here’s to you Sam Bradford!
