Barack Obama is the first African-American president but will he be an African-Americans’ president? Meaning is he going to serve Blacks first and then think of the nation? Ralph Nader, who many blame for Al Gore’s loss in the 2000 election, has dropped what is being dubbed “an Uncle Tom bomb” on the Democrats by accusing Barack Obama of “acting white.”
I am not sure what Ralphie means by this but these accusations have been taken seriously by some media outlets, and political bloggers, to be akin to calling Barack Obama Uncle Tom.
