AP is reporting the death of Philadelphia Phillies star Charlie Manuel’s mother and how the dude was back in the game just hours after that. Now thats dedication.
A grieving Charlie Manuel was in the Philadelphia Phillies’ dugout Friday afternoon for Game 2 of the NLCS, just hours after his mother died.
The Phillies said that June Manuel died Friday morning at Roanoke (Va.) Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. She was 87. The Phillies had no information about the cause of death.
Whats gone is gone. Now there is only present and future. I think Charlie can manage both his responsibilities, to his profession and to his family without under cutting the two.
