Actress Danica McKellar, best known as Winnie Cooper on “The Wonder Years,” and her husband welcomed a baby boy into their family on Tuesday night. Welcome to little Draco.
Yes, McKellar and husband Mike Verta named their son Draco Verta. Wondering what the name means?Â The couple told People magazine thatÂ his moniker â€“ which means dragon â€“ was taken from the constellation of the same name.
Draco Verta weighed in at 7 lbs., 2 oz.Â He is the couple’s first child.
“We are humbled, overjoyed and so grateful for this miraculous gift,”Â the couple told People in aÂ statement. “It’s like we’ve only now just learned the true meaning of love.”
McKellar is now a mathematician andÂ authoredÂ three books about math,Â including current bestseller HOT X: Algebra Exposed.Â The others were Math Doesn’t Suck and Kiss My Math: Showing Pre-Algebra Who’s Boss.Â She still acts, too, and appeared recently on CBS comedies “The Big Bang Theory” and “How I Met Your Mother.”
McKellar and Verta, a composer,Â were married in March 2009.
“The Wonder Years” aired from 1988-1993 and starred Fred Savage as Kevin Arnold, the boy who sought after friend Winnie Cooper.
