The big finale of “The Bachelorette” will air on ABC on Monday night, so fans (myself included) are pondering who will Ali Fedotowsky pick? Will Chris L. or Roberto receive the final rose?
(Spoilers below if you are interested.)
Ali’s season of “The Bachelorette” has been filled with drama, but that’s what the show is all about and what keeps fans tuning in. As for this season’s drama, Ali discovered that wrestler Justin “Rated R” was apparently on the show to boost his career and had two girlfriends at home (what a creep!). Then there was Kasey, who went so far as to tattoo a heart and shield on his arm because he was there to protect Ali’s heart (creepy).
And most importantly, Frank, a final three contender, chose to leave the show and go back to his ex-girlfriend. This left Ali heartbroken.  As a fan watching the show, I believe she was going to take Frank to the final two and possibly all the way to the end for a proposal. Her reaction to his departure appeared that she was really devastated. If she wasn’t going to pick Frank, she wouldn’t have been so upset.
So the final two men left to win over Ali’s heart are Chris L. and Roberto. Both seem like great catches to me, but as with any reality star, there are rumors circulating that paint bad pictures of the guys and make them seem like players.
In the last season of “The Bachelor,” in which Ali appeared to win over the heart of pilot Jake Pavelka, he chose Vienna Girardi, who had tons of rumors and tabloid reports painting a bad picture of her. And well, we see how well that engagement worked out for both of them.
Getting back to Ali, I really want to see her happy in the end. I watch “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette” hoping that true love will be found, or at least some sort of relationship will begin and eventually lead to love and marriage (at least Trista and Ryan Sutter, and Jason and Molly Mesnick got married). But I also enjoy watching all the drama that takes place, amongst the women and the men. The thing I hate, though, is when nobody is chosen at the end and no proposal or even chance at a relationship occurs.
I have a feeling that Ali may not choose either guy. And if she does, it may not last. Of course, there is always the chance that the guy will turn her down. Oh, the anticipation of the final rose is the best!
When all is said and done, I am hoping that she’ll pick Chris L. But Roberto would also be fine by me. Wow, it isn’t too often that I’m happy with both of the finalists (provided that they both turn out to be great guys in real life and not players!) Well, we’ll find out on Monday night!
“The Bachelorette” finale will air on Monday at 8 p.m. ET on ABC, where Ali will have the two finalists meet her family in Tahiti and (hopefully) give out the final rose. The finale will be followed by “The Bachelorette: After The Final Rose” at 10 p.m. where fans can find out what Ali’s current status is with the guy she chose (or can completely throw us all off like Jason Mesnick did on “The Bachelor” when he proposed to Melissa Rycroft, and then confessed in “After The Final Rose” that he should have picked Molly Malaney.)
Warning … Some spoilers for those interested:
US Weekly is reporting that Ali does choose a guy and he proposes, and also that a wedding date is set for early 2011. A few fan sites are reporting that Ali chooses Roberto.
