Nodar Kumaritashvili Luge
Bob Celski may not have been the first one to notice that Nodar Kumaritashvili was flying off his luge but he was certainly among the first ones if not the first one to react to the situation. Bob jumped from his seat and rushed to help the Olympic Luger Nodar Kumaritashvili from his predicament.
Bob instantly saw that the snow around Nodar Kumaritashvili was turning red so he already knew it was going to be bad. Definitely bad. Danger is definitely part of this high speed sport.
The 2010 Olympic Winder Games were hit by a disaster and the games had not even officially started. The luger was practicing before the games officially began when he flew off his luge and hit a pole resulting in instant fatality.

Nodar Kumaritashvili was a big time luger from ex Russian state of Georgia. The same Georgia which saw entrenched battles with mother Russia some time back. Nodar was declared dead from the injuries suffered.
