    • Zac says:

hey, i know this sucks but im sure there is know big reward, it sucks i hnow, there is only that gay gun but i think he means that info is the big reward because in fallout 3 info from the past is the most best thing to them.

    • Shadow Amadeus says:

It can’t be the room with the microwave emitter because i ran to the door before desmond gave me the key and it opened just fine.

  3. Sam Goodman says:

King of Fallout, at least helping Desmond is better than helping the brain. The brain tries to kill you and you get nothing.

  4. Krazy Kaze says:

Anybody have any luck finding a walkthrough yet? please post if you guys can find one. I am the cross roads of desiding if I’m going to help out desomnd or the brain. The point lookout add on is pretty cool so far – loved the acid trip quest with the seeds, did not see that coming!

  5. Krazy Kaze says:

Gamerfuzion.com is the only place I have found any good info, not really a walkthrough but more of an artical. Good info too on things to do outside of the main quest.

  6. Krazy Kaze says:

gamerfuzion is the only good info I can find

  7. Fallen says:

GameFAQ has a not too bad walkthrough up already. Missing some parts on locations like Ritual Place and Dove Delta but does have the either/or options for the main quest

  8. ron says:

I’ve done I would guess the whole point look out and I’m bummed out too, there is a nice china mission you do in blowing up their top secret sub and a few special missions but too boreing for this add on…I hope the alien add on is alot better!

  9. Jim says:

It doesn’t matter if you help desmond or the brain. If you help Desmond he gives you the key to the vault, and if you help the brain after killing both of them the vault door will unlock automatically.

  10. Brandon says:

Ok so I’ve done everything in point lookup, if I had known there wasn’t a walk through I owuld have filmed it and released it on youtube. the only thing I have to do is find al lthe locations in point lookout. I have most but not all.

  11. Dennis says:

Does anyone know what to do with the piece of your brain that you get back from the ferry, I’ve completed everything but haven’t figured out what to do with the piece of brain matter yet. If anyone has figured this one out, please help a brother out.

  12. Gentry says:

this was probably the best gameplay expansion yet, but definatly the biggest dissapointment. in all the others you get something sweet in the end, but all this did was introduce you to a muzzle loader which sucks and a double barrel shotgun which isn’t the greatest

  13. alex says:

WHEN I WAS GOING TO GET THE SEEDS ON THE MAIN QUEST I GOT THE SEEDS BUT Was i exposte to take the bobble heads and click on the dead bodies floating in the water and when i seen the sowing in the ground that just scared me!

  14. alex says:

does any one know why the seeds in the main mission make you see all of those thin gs and was i expost to take the bobble heads?

  15. alex says:

why does the pump action suck and the double barrel suck and i thought they would be great?

  16. Brandon says:

alex, the seeds from the giant plant caused you to blackout. while you were blacked out it appeared that you got up and started walking again. This was the dream you were in. As for the Sewing and Saw you will find out about later on… ;]

  17. Kaznast says:

I didn’t read all of the posts above mine but there’s a couple things of interest here… First off, the Microwave Emitter isn’t just a mesmertron that does damage; it’s a silenced energy weapon. Listen to the sound it makes. Notice how there isn’t much sound at all? The enemies can’t hear that either. Seeings as how my main character I’ve been playing for a while is all energy weapons I was STOKED to get this! I’ve also done everything there is to do in Point Lookout and have to say that it is by far the best DLC for Fallout so far. A lot of people (on other forums and reviews) compare Bethesda’s DLC to Shivering Isles for Oblivion and complain they’re too short (in comparison). The thing they’re missing here is that Shivering Isles costs 2400 gamerpoints, the equivalent to the cost of Oblivion itself! This is only 800 points and I say the content, action, story (not just the main quest but the side quests as well), enemies, and environment are on point with what they intended. A quest that definitely surprised me was the “Blackhall” question that involved the book you can either trade for 1,000 caps or return to the wasteland with and destroy by bringing it to the bottom of the Dunwich building. I had totally forgotten about the obelisk at the bottom of the Dunwich building until doing this quest and, although there isn’t any major prize other than a giant karma boost, it was cool to see a cross-over quest with this DLC.

Anywho, a walkthrough shouldn’t be too difficult for this game as the quests are fairly straight forward. However, I won’t be the one to do it :)

A walkthrough should be fairly simple for anyone who plays through this.

I just wanna say that I really liked the dlc point lookout. But can you get the lighthouse to work cause I picked up the lightbulb and put it in but I still couldn’t get it to turn on but over all I can’t wait for the next dlc

  19. sam says:

redxlll_81, you get the lightbulb from the crased truck near the cathedral ( i suppose you done that, but for benifit of other people) with it in your inventory, activate the lighthouse broken bulb, then there is a powerbox on the wall next to it, turn it on :)

    • Mike says:

Sam left you a thanks before I knew u could jusy reply. Drove me nuts trying to figure out that light house thing. Only question is there are 2 broken lights, so is there another to maybe get an achievment. Either way thanks.

  20. brendan says:

has any one chosen not to give the book to the old guy and go back to the waste and to that building because i wen there and i had no clue where to go once i got there please if you can help

    • jonah says:

ya i took it to the place in capitol wasteland. cant remember the name of the place right off hand, it starts with a D (D____ building, thats all i can remember) and you have to go all of the way down into the building (you will wind up underground in a cave) and there is a big stalagmite carved into an obelisk, with skulls and the like all over it. activate it to destroy the book. all this will gain you is a decent boost to your good karma. no other special rewards, not even a decent amount of experience (if i remember right, all u get is 50 experience).

    • jonah says:

oh, just remembered the name, its the Dunwich building, and its just to the west of tenpenny tower. its pretty easy to find. one warning tho, the place is packed with ghouls. you will find a lot of holotapes in there, left by a guy named jaime, who u find and have to kill at the obelisk. dont worry if u think this is a misc. quest, its just a freeform quest, with no real reward.

  21. Nathan says:

If you are looking for sum good stuff heres a few things that are cool
Go to the ark and dove cathedral and talk to that gardener guy aotside and talk to him (nicely) and he will give you a fertilizer shovel which does 15dmg but it also does -4hp for 10secs
If you go to coastal grotto and complete a quest called pikis safari you get a special axe called the dismemberer its extra cool cause when you kill an enemy the explode (hence the name) kinda like the bloody mess perk
If you go to room 1k at the motel theres a horrific scene in there and a pint sized slasher mask (from the simulation after scientific pursuits) there is also a pint sized slasher mask in kennys cave
theres a police hat in the growers shack (or is it the trappers shack its one of them)
If you go to the sinkhole location swim around the water near thhere and eventually you will see all this stuff float up in with all the stuff is 2 nuka-cola Qauntams
go to the top of the light house near the light and look for a holotape read it and it will tell you bout a delivery go where it ses and youll find a crashed truck in the back is a lightbulb take that and put it in the light house and turn it on

Well i hope wot ive sed helps people out and gives people sumthing to do =]

  22. Nathan says:

hay brenda it also took me ages to find it but if i was u i wouldnt do it its useless you shud give it to that guy cus if you do you get 1000caps and your karma doesnt change a bit you can also kill him and get the book (it looks nice set up in ure house/shelter) but if u find that oblisk in dunwich you get nothing except good karma (WOOPE) but if you really want to know i think (THINK) its in the sub chambres which arent to hard to fin then when u go down some stairs under those stairs is a open door go in there and look around youll find this wird massive thing in a cave with skulls and stuff in it and theres loads of feral ghouls and some weird guy who trys to kill you (if this helps the stairs are metal)
    I hope this helps

  23. Mike says:

SAM YOU ARE THE MAN!!!!! I spent 3 hours trying to figure out how to get that damm lighthouse to come on. Only question I have is there are 2 broken lights and only one in the truck. One makes it work, but is there another one that may give you an achievement? Either way thanks dude.

  24. ANDREW says:

I OWNEYOU ALL ON FALLOUT 3 I QM THE MASTER but these new monstor on point look out are rock solid and tip how to kill them plz leve me a reply

  25. Darren says:

I have a problem with Point Lookout locking up during loading in and around the main ‘carnival’ place. I’ve started calling it Point Lockup for fun. I got to where I saved often because it corrupts your autosave. I think its my Xbox overloading on the texture count. Anyway, this is the best DLC I’ve played for it and its big. Anyone spy the crashed american jet with the pilot stuck in a tree? Even got the blackbox and it looked like the ‘natives’ have been killing over the territory for decades. Not to mention the Chinese Spy side mission which was better than the main mission in my opinion, albeit quick n easy. The bad guys finally gave a challenge at first playing on Hard level, after a while they were a cinch. Just sting em with your darts and chunk them away with anything. If your in a hurry use your nukagrenades. Since they added the ‘Formula Master’ keeping up a stock of these is easy.

  26. gary says:

i had the same corrupt auto save problem while doing “the pitt”. it was super annoying but at least it made me conscious of making sure i saved more.

  27. PHA!L says:

You actually do get something from the brain…The door that is closed when you side with Desmond is already opened for you after you kill Desmond then the brain.

  28. Matt says:

    Here’s a good guide:

    http://www. gamefaqs.com/console/xbox360/file/960388/56877

and it looks like the vault door is the place where you get the microwave emitter.

    • Matt says:

and here’s probably an even better one (with pictures).

  30. Jenifer says:

There is a working full un broke light buld in the truck thats wrecked on your map there is a marker for it. then you take it to the top of the light house activate it and through the switch on the wall there is no achement for this and I am looking for the the point of it is cause it has done nothing for me.

  31. Jenifer says:

The Game that you pay 1000.00 for in the game in the cave where you shot gouls for a good 5 mins or more that was fun and it was a quest in the game that you can finish. HELP! HELP! HELP! ! Also after down loading all the add one I went back to the wastelands to sell some stuff and I went back to the Museum of history where the gouls are and there is a man out side the front door selling aqau healing water or something I talked to him and her sent me on a side quest to find who is supplying him with the aqua water. I there is no markers on my map to fallow for this there is an empty triangle to the east that I went to but I cant find the guy. CAN ANYONE HELP ME WITH THIS PROBLEM IM HAVING…… Also one other thing how many new side quests were added to the wastelands after you get the add ons and beat the game?

  32. Ohno says:

This walkthru sucks I have had no help at all

  33. Alexander Kloo says:

once you find out what the aqua-cura is you go to the bottling operation and talk to the scribe in charge then you should get a marker.

  34. Natoar says:

whats with the Brian NPC in the fallout shelter if you fall through the roof of the mall?????

  35. Zac says:

but the worst thing was taking some from my head 9when they take a pice of bian from your head, WTF?.

  36. Weston says:

    fallout.wikia.com

  37. Justin says:

I’m trying to get the Bog walker achievement, but fallout3 does not seem to want to unlock Dove Delta, even though I have walked all over the Dove Delta location. Is there something I don’t know or what the heck is going on.

The Lighthouse Light is an unmarked quest, meaning there is not XP award upon completion. Also, you can only replace 1 of 2 light bulbs, and apparently, even glitching the game to obtain a second unbroken bulb will not allow you to repair both bulbs. But you will have the satisfaction of lighting up the one bulb and watching that warm light spin around. (much good it does with all that shipping traffic…)

I would definitely say return the book to Blackhall. Fighting through all those ghouls (especially Ghoul Reavers), wasting stimpacks and time, all for some good Karma is just not worth it. I can be nice tons of other places, and XP isn’t exactly hard to come by in this game. Caps are cash, and I like changing the decor on My Megaton House or buying a round of drinks for everyone at the Brass Lantern (I tried to be bad at first, but I just can’t do it. Plus I seem to have more dialogue and NPC options as a soldier of the light).

Microwave Emitter: I’ve read elsewhere this weapon ignores DR. So if you think it about it, that makes this gun quite powerful. 65 points of straight DMG, ignoring DR is huge. I’ve taken down Super Mutant Brutes with only a couple of well aimed shots. Point being: this weapon is much more powerful than at first glance.

oh, and for all you kiddies out there, please learn to type, speak, and read before you start littering forums with absolute jibberish and nonsense…
