According to inside sources, President-elect Barack Obama has already decided upon the guy who is going to formulate the nations energy policy and make United States independent of foreign oil and hopefully get the country off its addiction with the black gold.
Steven Chu is the man of the moment and will most likely be the energy secretary pending of course the senate hearing. Additionally, Lisa Jackson will be the environmental protection agency administrator and Carol Browner as his energy “czar.”
Lets peep into the background of Steven Chu, also sometims mistakely spelled as Stephen Chu.
Mr Chu is present a Professor of Physics and Molecular and Cellular Biology of University of California, Berkeley and the director of the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory.
He is also a reknowed expert on global warming and as warnings grow more frightening, Chu is currently egging his researchers at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and industry to develop technologies to roll back weather changes over all this time.
Mr Chu was instrumental in finalizing a deal, a pact actually, between UC Berkeley, oil industry giant BP, the Lawrence Berkeley Lab and the University of Illinois. This is great cuz we have the industry and education coming together to create something optimal.
Mr Chu is married to to Jean Chu who herself boasts of quite an academic record. She is an Oxford educated physicist but this is not her first marriage. She was married to Alexander Fetter earlier who was also a Stanford academician.
Jean and Steven exchanged the vows some time after Steven won the Nobel prize. Like they say, it never rains but pours. So when the going is good….its really good.
