‘Playboy’ Centerfold Hope Dworaczyk In 3-D A ‘Playboy’ First

Texas native and international cover model Hope Dworaczyk graces the cover of the upcoming June issue of Playboy magazine, which is no ordinary issue.  It is Playboy‘s first ever 3-D issue, making Hope Dworaczyk the first Playboy centerfold whose photos will be depicted in three dimensions.  Hope Dworaczyk is also Playboy‘s 51st Playmate of the Year.

Many will recognize Hope Dworaczyk from her appearances on “The Girls Next Door,” the reality show that starred Playboy models like Kendra Wilkinson living in the Playboy mansion.  The 2010 Playmate of the Year also was Playboy‘s April 2009 Playmate of the Month.  Besides cover modeling, Hope Dworaczyk has walked the fashion runways of the world and even hosts and co-produces “Inside Fashion” on E! Television in Canada.

So how did the 3-D idea come about?  Hugh Hefner simply asked himself what most people would want to see in 3-D.  ”A naked lady” was his answer.  Hefner told ABC News that he originally had the idea for a 3-D photo shoot and spread back in the 1950s but found that the costs for the 3-D glasses were prohibitive. So he scrapped the idea.  In the June issue, Hefner and Playboy still aren’t paying for the 3-D glasses that can be used to see Hope Dworaczyk in all her naked and three-dimensional glory.  HBO has footed the bill.  They were looking for a creative way to advertise their hit drama, “True Blood,” and the Playboy 3-D glasses were the answer.  Now, every time someone takes a look at the beautiful Hope Dworaczyk’s photos, they will see “True Blood” stenciled on the sides of the glasses they don.

At first glance, Playmate Hope Dworaczyk’s centerfold will appear blurry.  The 3-D glasses will rectify that.  And Hugh Hefner was quick to point out that there were plenty of 2-D photos in the June issue for all the traditionalists.

A Playboy spokesperson noted that the glasses actually work.  In the photos, Hope Dworaczyk looks as if she’s handing the viewer a glass of wine.  And everything appears somewhat ‘bigger.’

Wonder if that is a 3-D effect or has something to do with the fact that Hope Dworaczyk is from Texas…
