The Open Championship is back to Lancashire Course at the Royal Birkdale Golf Club from Thursday 17th to Sunday 20th July 2008.
Guess how many times the championship has been held at this course? Yes, nine times! From Peter Thomson’s win in 1954 to Mark O’Meara’s in 1998, they have all played and won their honors here.

Richard Alan Rhoden is a professional golfer and was a Major League Baseball pitcher. Talk about double whammy.
During his 16 year baseball career, he played for the Los Angeles Dodgers, Pittsburgh Pirates and Houston Astros of the National League; and the New York Yankees of the American League.
