Critics never tire of praising Kiran Bedi, an ex super cop and present day social activist. (Albeit a rickety one though).
How Did She Do That

H1B - The Skilled Worker Program
H1B is the skilled worker visa which allows American companies to hire talent from abroad and sponsor them to work on-site in the country. The preparations for the next year filing has already begun as is apparent from the flier which I got in-my in box few days back.

Server Issues Today

Had my first major outage since I started this blog.
The db connection is timing out. Have no clue whether it is because of Wordpress related issues or something on the hosting company’s end.
40 Laid Off At Yahoo! India

More sacking news this season. Yahoo had announced some time back that because of an unhappy economic year, it is going to reduce its numbers and lay off about 1000 employees. Yahoo! India has taken the lead in this it seems by announcing the cuts. About 40 employees were given the pink slip.

Sounds irrational and totally out of the blue. Thats what I thought initially, but wait till you hear the complete sequence of events. Raelyn Campbell bought a laptop from Best Buy in 2006. She also padded up the purchase with a warranty for an additional $300. Some time later, in about May of 2007, a part broke so she took it back to the store for repairs.
BlackBerry Black Out

First the internet cables and now the Blackberry. Just heard that a major service outage is afflicting users of BlackBerry smart phones across the United States and Canada. The company behind Blackberry, Research in Motion is in the process of informing customers of all wireless carriers who are affected.
