Wordpress Under Repeated DOS Attacks

Wordpress.com saw DOS attacks beginning Saturday, and the attacks were continuing till yesterday as some of the users still could not log on to their site.

Matt Mullenweg, the brains behind Wordpress and its spokesman, also confirmed these attacks. There were spikes of about 6 GB of incoming traffic rendering the blogs inaccessible by some users for almost up to 15 minutes.

Sabeer Bhatia has been trying hard to beat his one trick pony reputation. After trying his luck with Arzoo and Live Documents, the man who sold Hotmail to Microsoft has now launched an online tool for facilitating teleconferencing at no extra cost to the user.

I was then living in Vienna and recall picking up a copy of the magazine from a newsstand that sold English-language periodicals and journals. I read the story more than once but could not quite understand it. It sounded more science fiction than science. How could what it described be possible, I kept wondering, which only brings home the fact, and one that we overlook, as to how new a phenomenon the Internet is. FORBES Announces Its Web Celeb List

Forbes has came out with a list of 25 folks who made it big in the online world.

There were some whose blogs I hit up almost daily and some which although quite popular as per Technocrati - Doshdosh, Problogger, Johnchow - but were missing from the list. Apparently have not yet won approval from the critics.

Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook was the youngest to be profiled at 23.
