Japan’s NTT Data close to buying 8.7% of India’s Vertex Software

BANGALORE — Japan’s NTT Data Corp. (9613.TO) is close to buying a 68.7% stake in India’s privately owned Vertex Software Pvt. Ltd., the Business Standard reported, citing unnamed Vertex sources.
It is looking to buy the shares from Japan’s Mitsui & Co. Ltd. (8031.TO) and the U.S.’s LogicSoft Inc., the newspaper said.
It added - without giving any financial details - that the deal is likely to be completed in the first week of December.
NTT Data Corp. runs the data services operations of NTT Corp. while Vertex is a software development company.
