An Orlando based web development company called Web2 Corp is selling an Indian internet search and social networking site on eBay.

ByIndia.com has been put up for grabs by the company whose executives have said they were forced to do it when a deal for expected funding fell through.

The site has been listed on eBay with a starting bid of $500,000. Although no bids have been placed yet. The auction is going to end on Friday.

The site looks quite impressive and has an Alexa ranking of 52,646. (Popular Indian site Rediff.com has a ranking of 137).

Seems like the web 2.0 bubble burst is round the corner and I won’t be surprised if more consolidation follows through this year.
