Tiger Woods asked for privacy during his press conference late last week. What does that mean? Well, it means that he is tired of the endless “Tiger Woods updates†flocking on the internet. Of course, this post is also technically an update, but I would like to see what people think about the golfer and his privacy.
Does Tiger deserve privacy? After all, he is an athlete and he does live somewhat in the public eye. There are many children that look (or looked) up to him, and there are many issues with his sponsors that must be considered. He is or was the face of many companies and that in and of itself kind of takes him out of protected status.
Still yet, there’s human decency. What Tiger does in his bedroom (or in the back of a car, or in the corner of a crowded nightclub…) is his own business. Or is it? Does it all flow in with his character? Should we turn a blind eye, or is this truly a big deal?
All that being said, I highly doubt Tiger will get his privacy any time soon. However, many people are growing bored of the controversy – so maybe he will get it a lot sooner than he previously thought.
