Tiger Woods Rehab: When Enough is Enough

Tiger Woods claimed during his press conference that he is going to continue his therapy to help cure him of his so-called “sex addiction.” Now, we are all very familiar with claims that Tiger has a problem.  Ever since mistress #…I don’t know – once his count reached double digits – people started talking about a sexual addiction.

Because of the rumors, it was believed that Tiger spent Christmas in a rehab facility in Arizona.  Of course, then there were stories that he was living it up in New York City, eating cereal and watching cartoons at his home, and even sailing away on his yacht.  The truth of the matter was we really didn’t know where he was.

And then there’s Mississippi.  Sometime in January it came out that Tiger was in sex rehab in Mississippi- around the same place where Brett Favre has a ranch. Elin reportedly stayed at Brett’s ranch while she was visiting Tiger in rehab.
So was he really in rehab? IF so, wasn’t he there long enough to be cured of his afflictions? Is the therapy claims just another ploy to get us to back off and leave him alone?

After listening to Tiger I think that he is going in the right direction to get his derailed life back on the right track. Tiger said his Buddhist faith would be a key part of his quest to put his life back together. Self- discipline with awareness of consequences is among Buddhism highest values. In each one of us there is a divine power that can be used to help us overcome any obstacle and adversity. I am encouraged that Tiger mentioned he is using his inner strength to regain balance in his life to save the two things that are most important to him, his wife and his children. I wish them all the best. It is time that Tiger and his family move on with their life and for the media to get off their back!!!

I think Tiger and Elin are moving in the right direction… Enough is enough for the bashing from the media/tabloid… Did they bash Bill Clinton like that during his scandal period ? Tiger is trying his best to rectify himself as well as the “hurts” he had done to his family… To be frank, the only apology Tiger needs is one to his wife and he really did not need a public apology…I think there are 4 components of the public that Tiger were considering…Firstly, his business partners, well, not because of the $, but also when you signed an endorsement with a sponsor, they expect you are active in supporting them and not for one to go on a long term sabbatical.Secondly, his fans which Tiger treasured…Thirdly, the PGA Tour, well, because his absence gave a hurdle to its ads and tickets because people hope to see the golf icon in the green of PGA Tour…Fourthly, Tiger apologised to those parents of kids who looked onto him as a role model…On this point, I disagreed… While it is true he failed to the expectation of those parents, but these are high expectations..and poor Tiger need not burden himself in trying to live up to the high expectations of everyone… Ad compared to many people, Tiger lives a pressured life (being at the top is lonely and easily make up feel lost and insecure), there is no point to add on further pressure… His mother, Tilda, probably said something quite reflective… ” Tiger has a good heart and it is tough to be Tiger Woods…Others live a 8 to 5 job, but Tiger’s one is never”
