Olympics figure skating and tomorrow’s men’s finals are the buzz of the Olympics. Figure skating is among the most popular Olympic sports, with many people tuning in each time the events air. Thursday’s men’s finals are expected to be “compelling”, and many are anxious to see who will win the various medals.
USA Today estimates that the men’s figure skating event will be a close call, as the top three are all within one point of another. This takes fans back to the year 1988 when the “Battle of the Brians” took place.
The couple’s figure skating event has come and gone, and China won both the gold and the silver. A married couple that retired in 2007 and came out of retirement to go for the gold snatched their ultimate prize.
Other than the men’s finals, there is still ice dancing and ladie’s figure skating left. Ice dancing is sort of like ballroom dancing on ice, with less jumps and spins than couples’ dancing.
Tomorrow we will find out the Olympics figure skating champion in the men’s category. Who it will be is still up in the air, although it could go to anyone in the top three.
Who are the top 3? Evgeni Plushenko from Russia, Evan Lysacek from the US and Japan’s Daisuke Takahashi.
