Kobe Bryant is not a new name for basketball fans; the man has consistently stayed in the news all through his career, be it for sports or his extracurricular (read: extramarital) activities.
The shooting guard has made a reputation out of his focus and aim and seems to make the game a part of himself every single time he hits the courts. A favourite of fans and sportsters alike, it didn’t come as much of a surprise when the lad was honoured with the title of “Player of the Decade.” Bryant can stand tall because of his Basketball resume, not only is he a 13 time basketball all start, he’s been titled champion of over four NBA championships, has been the most valuable player for the NBA along with the finals.
With over 100 40 plus point games and a couple of 60 plus point games behind him, the “Player of the decade” title was just another step further down the court for him. Bryant was pitted against the likes of LeBron (who is an enigma on his own) but still came out on top. Shaq was following close behind at the number three spot. The decision was made based on a fan vote so credit for his win could also go to dedication of Lakers fans all over the country who didn’t relent and augmented their support for their player.
At the end of the day the top honor goes to the city of Lost Angels where it seems they found one angel that rocked the basketball world. This is a big win for all Lakers fans.
