Neo American Church

Neo American Church (another popular version is Neoamericanist)  is in news these days and I heard about them for the first time.

Apparently the leader of this religious group preys on children. The leader – George Feigley – is now 68 but he was convicted in 1975, was released from a Pennsylvania prison Friday.

The shocking bit is that George Feigley will not be required to register as a sex offender, and this has unsurprisingly triggered outrage in the community where he plans to live.

The reason for not being required to register is that Feigley’s 1975 conviction predates the passage of Megan’s Law, which requires compulsory registration of sex offenders.

If you think this is not shocking, hear this out. George Feigley will also not be on parole since he has served his maximum sentence and hence technically, now is a free bird to do anything he wants and live wherever he wants.

A bit about the background. George Feigley’s Neo American Church has been labled as a sex cult by the authorities operated a school in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, that police said was a front for sexual activity.

What do you think should the authorities do. Should the law be allowed to take its own course and let George be an unrestrained free man?

I believe that George F. should be put on parole and made to register. Not
be allowed to any contact with children and if he does – Put him back in jail
and let the prisoners take care of him.
