The other two deaths happened during the event’s inaugural year.
There has been a lot of controversy over the luge track in VancouverÂ It’s the fastest in the world, and many competitors have voiced their concern over safety.Â Some competitors have gotten up to speeds in excess of 90 miles per hour.
The sad thing about the crash video is that Nodar Kumaritashvili was only 21 years at the time of his death.Â He was young, full of life, and just trying to make his dreams come true.
The graphic reality of the crash inevitably lead to his death.
At first, the crash video was pulled from YouTube because of its graphic nature.Â However, other sources have picked up the video and published it on their site.
