Sylvester Stallone was filming a fight scene with Steve Austin when he sustained a neck injury.Â Stallone fractured his neck and even had to have surgery to add a steel plate in his neck.
This isn’t the first time Stallone has suffered a life-threatening injury. In 1985 he suffered chest injuries that could have killed him had his heart swelled too much.
Sylvester Stallone is a very tough guy, and news of his neck injury took fans by surprise.Â After all, for decades he has been known as both Rocky and RamboÂ – two men that almost seem to be invincible.
Stallone is 63 years old, and he still has that je ne sais quoiÂ that it takes to be a super star.Â His movies and legacy will far outlive him.
What did the star have to say about his injury? He reportedly told FHM magazine that â€œActually, my fight with Stone Cold Steve Austin was so vicious that I ended up getting a hairline fracture in my neck. Iâ€™m not joking. I havenâ€™t told anyone this, but I had to have a very serious operation afterward. I now have a metal plate in my neck.â€
