Colt McCoy Injured: Alabama vs Texas Leaves McCoy Injured

Colt McCoy injured: Alabama vs Texas BCS Championship aka the Rose Bowl left Colt McCoy, quarterback for the Texas Longhorns injured.  During the first four minutes of the game, McCoy took a helmet to his throwing shoulder, which left him injured.  Marcell Sareus is the Alabama football player whose helmet hit McCoy. How will the Texas Longhorns survive without their star quarterback?

So far, we are at half time and as the score stands, the Crimson Tide has a leg up on the Longhorns.  One cannot help but think that because Colt McCoy was injured, Texas is a little shook up. How big is the leg up? Alabama is leading by 18.

Garrett Gilbert, a freshman quarterback is now getting his ears wet now that Colt McCoy is injured. How he plays this game could give us some indication on how the Longhorns will perform in years to come.

There’s no word on the severity of Colt McCoy’s injury, although it has been said that his father has joined him in the locker room.
