Movie, TV, and Music Celebs All Come Out For ‘People’s Choice Awards’

The Hollywood awards season is upon us, and it starts off with a bang on Wednesday in the form of the “People’s Choice Awards 2010.”

"People's Choice Awards"

The “People’s Choice Awards” has celebrities from movies, television, and music joining in the festivities together in Los Angeles, as opposed to most awards shows that only honor one group of talent.  Queen Latifah will host the awards show, which will air live at 9 p.m. (ET) on CBS.

Expected to attend are Sandra Bullock, Carrie Underwood, Adam Lambert, Colbie Caillat, Mariah Carey, Steve Carell, Jackie Chan, Chevy Chase, Kaley Cuoco, Ellen DeGeneres, Jenna Elfman, Taraji P. Henson, Josh Holloway, LL Cool J, Hugh Jackman, Ashton Kutcher, Hugh Laurie, George Lopez, Kellan Lutz, Kathryn Morris, Jim Parsons, Paula Patton, Ryan Reynolds, Nicole Scherzinger, Keith Urban, and Kate Walsh, according to reports.  And what could be awkward, but then again they said they are friends, the recently “broken up” Taylor Swift and Taylor Lautner are also scheduled to attend.

Aside from the broad range of celebrities who will be honored, the “People’s Choice Awards” also stands out because the awards are voted by the fans.  In fact, the categories Favorite New TV Comedy and Drama are still open for voting.

So, for the average person, or fan, this is one awards show where you’ll actually have seen the movies that are being honored (such as “The Hangover” and “Twilight”).  And this awards show is less stuffy than some of the others, and is usually unpredictable.
