The â€œPeopleâ€™s Choice Awards 2010â€ will be held this week and fans can still vote online for some of their favorites, including new TV comedy and drama.
The awards will air on Wednesday, January 6, 2010, at 9 p.m. (ET) on CBS, kicking off awards season in Hollywood.Â Queen Latifah will host the show, which will air live from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles.
Voting for favorite new TV comedy and drama shows will remain open until show night on January 6, according to reports.Â The awards, chosen directly by fans, have already set a record-breaking 60 million votes at peopleschoice.com, according to organizers.Â Â
â€œThe Twilight Saga: New Moonâ€ star Taylor Lautner, actress Sandra Bullock, and singers Mariah Carey, Carrie Underwood, and LL Cool J are among the celebrities expected to attend.Â Mary J. Blige will sing and Queen Latifah will take part in an all-star musical number, according to Reuters.
â€œTwilightâ€ has led the nominations with seven in the movie category, and Bullock is among the nominees for favorite movie actress.Â The awards honor fan favorites in music, movies, and television.
The show will be â€œjam-packedâ€ with surprises and performances, according to executive producer Mark Burnett.
