Actor Johnny Depp was named People magazine’s “Sexiest Man Alive 2009.”

The magazine made its announcement on Wednesday, in which Depp will be featured on the cover of People’s annual special issue. Depp, who also received the honor in 2003, has joined the elite club of two-time “Sexiest Man Alive” holders, which also includes actors Brad Pitt and George Clooney, according to the magazine.
The 46-year-old actor is best known for his role as Captain Jack Sparrow in the “Pirates of the Caribbean” movies, as well as quirky Tim Burton films such as “Edward Scissorhands” and “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.”
Depp is also a father of two.
