Who voted for the Health Care Bill?

House of Representatives

House of Representatives

Last night, the House of Representatives passed the health care bill with a vote of 220-215.  Only one Republican voted for the Democratic bill,  Joseph Cao from New Orleans, and nearly 40 Democrats voted against it.  For a complete list of names of Democrats who voted against it, click here for the New York Times chart.

The bill will extend health insurance coverage to 36 million Americans. Annual out-of-pocket expenses will have a limit, and insurance companies will be prevented from denying coverage for pre-existing conditions.

The Democrats have estimated the cost for health insurance coverage at $894 billion, but CNN has estimated that it will most likely cost over $1 trillion dollars once all provisions are included.  The public option will be available in 2013, and illegal immigrants will not be covered.  Everyone in the United States will be required to have health insurance.

Once again I find a site claiming to provide the names of the supporters of the House Bill—Nope they provide the names of the democrat and lone Republican who voted against it. Why is EVERY site hiding behind this double speak?

Your headline claims what you do not deliver! Shoddy!

Your headline says, “Who voted for the health care bill” but your only link lists those who voted AGAINST it … I’m sick of journalistic and blogging hypocrisy leading with a healine that bears no relation to the story that follows … why is every site so shy about listing who actually did vote FOR this bill ???
