Covering the latest news, info, rumors, and reader reaction on Caylee Anthony here.

This case has gripped the nation like no other, and rightly so because of its rare (in fact almost unheard of) to come across mothers who show no emotion if their child goes missing or, if Fox is to be believed, go partying in clubs with friends.

A bit about the background.

Caylee went missing and for about a month, the mother did not inform anyone or call 911 for help. In fact she hid this from her own family as well.

Finally, when the grand mother repeatedly asked and got no straight answers from Casey, she called the authorities and reported about her missing 2 year old grand daughter.

This case has taken the nation by storm. Although it would be wrong to make a sweeping statement about the break down in the family structure in US based on this single incident, but the general trend may lead some to express concerns.

The behavior of the mother, Casey, is absolutely and horrendously outrageous. One would least expect a mom to act like this.

In the latest round of action, Casey’s defense attorney have put forward demands to have Casey released on bail so she can participate in the search for her daughter.

To begin with, I am sure what most of us would like to know is what was she doing after her daughter went missing and before this case came to light.

I have covered another popular story of Casey using the baby sitter alibi, click here to check that out as well.

    1. Ruth says:

How I see it: A young lady, ambitious and good looking likes to party, finds herself with child. Has enough sense to not have an abortion yet realizes the lifestyle gets interrupted with motherhood and no daddy to help. Too late for an abortion – that opportunity is out, the baby has been borned. Regards her pursuit of happiness as a right, thinks can get away with the second best thing in her unloving mind and heart. Entertains temptations, knowing that for some rotten people as she is…though she does not see herself that way, of course. crime may pay: fame, recognition, lots of tv exposure, books, movies, more boyfriends who would go after her “beauty” and projected ‘coming to money”. I turn my head and cover my ears when she is shown on tv, even change the tv channel: she disgusts me! Caylee deserved much better!

    2. Ruth says:

One very peculiar thing I notice is she seems so aloof to the seriousness of this, as if this was a part on a movie role she’s playing. And the very same person then also acts like a regular teen who wants to look her best for the guys, perfect hair, makeup, walk, and basically the last thing in her mind seems to be very far from her thoughts, just on her demeanor.

    3. Marylou says:

George, Cindy and Lee are now saying they will not testify in the civil suit if it is made public, etc. Those are the laws on the books in Fl. If I were the judge, the minute that ultimatum was delivered to my court, I would have slapped them all with contempt charges and slapped their conspiratorial asses into the slammer. How dare they hold Florida courts hostage, and bargain with the state system? They have no right. They all need an “adjustment” by the judge and the powers that be. The same goes for the ignorant lawyer who is negotiating for them–take his license. A bunch of dumb asses.

    4. cheryl says:

As a grandmother (and I would have to say that I am an excellant one) I think that you are all judging the grandparents of Caylee too harsh. They (Cindy and George) loved caylee and because Casey and Caylee lived with them, were always hands on with helping to raise Caylee. They knew that Casey was irresponsible, to say the least, and was contemplating getting custody of Caylee. I think that Casey held Caylee over them to get her way in the past and when Cindy confronted Casey about the stolen social security check and wanted to kick Casey out of the house, Casey killed Caylee. She is the one that everyone should blame. She should rot in hell for her actions, but leave the rest of the family alone. Their only crime was loving and trusting their daughter.

    5. Jamie says:

The civil suit should not even be on the table at this time. She will have plenty of time after the murder trial to sue her.

Good for Cindy and George for not allowing, cameras, phones, backpacks at the memorial service, however I fully expect people to find fault with that also. these people are damned if they do and damned if they don’t.

An abuser abuses in many ways and I am sure Caylee was used against Cindy and George by Casey in many ways.

    6. courtney says:

I have four babies and one on the way, i am only 20 years old.when i had my first baby i knew that what i had to do.i want to be the best mom that i can be. I have been in stressful times but ,i could never do anything to hurt the one that keeps me going.my children are my life. with out them what is my purpose?

    7. lilnan says:

In this economy and no job.Why did Casey need a “nanny”?I thought she said that she had the “nanny”for about a year. When Caylee went missing,is this the first time that Cindy heard of the “nanny”?My mother would’ve known all of my babysitters.I noticed when Casey mentions the ‘nanny’ she lowers her voice like a child telling a lie.Her behavior is not like that of a typical mother.I feel sympathy for the grandparents.

    8. JENNIFER WEST VIRGINIA says:

I have just one lingering questions regarding Casey and Caylee. Yes we all agree the family has issues that is obvious. But saying that the babysitter kidnapped her is one thing. BUT.. since there never was a “babysitter” in the first place and her mother was not keeping Caylee, who was watching her when Casey was out partying??? Where was she during that time? Was she left in the car? Was someone watching her? If so who? Surely Casey had to pawn the little girl off on someone so she could go out. Background~~I had my son when I was 17 and I never once felt like he was a burden, ever. He was and will always be first. There is no defense for abandoning a child no matter what your “age” She should recieve the death penalty for killing this little baby (accident or not) the fact of the matter is the child is gone and will never get to grow up. Casey on the other hand will just continue on with no guilt or remorse at all. The nation as a whole cares way more about this baby than she ever did and that is just sad.

    9. Mary Ann says:

To Jennifer from WV: I’m so glad to see you point out the fact that so much of that little girl’s life is unaccounted for. I’ve been wondering about that too, and even posted about it on this blog a couple of times. I cannot imagine how, for TWO YEARS, Casey had her parents believing that she was going to her job and leaving Caylee with a “nanny.” What was Casey doing all this time, and more importantly, what was she doing with Caylee???? I have a young adult daughter still living in my home, and I cannot imagine myself being so blind as to not know what she is doing with her time. Where was Casey getting spending money if she had no job? Surely she couldn’t have made a 2-year career of stealing without SOMEONE noticing. So much of this case is extremely bizarre. I hope they force this nut job (Casey) to answer some of these questions at her trial. I personally don’t believe she has a snowball’s chance in h___ of getting acquitted.

    10. Jamie says:

I believe that Cindy and George watched Caylee. Once Casey had that arguement with her mom I believe she slept in the car with Caylee not all the time but I would guess much of the time and when she stayed with her boyfriend she left Caylee alone in the car and told her friends Caylee was at the babysitter. Why would they question that? I am sure that if she was speaking with her parents at this time she told them the same thing.

I have also wondered where she got her money from, we know she stole money and for all we know she could have been stealing money from her parents also, although I think they gave her spending money. Probably not alot but enough so she would have something.

    11. rafael guerrero says:

“this woman is the mother of all lie”

    12. lilnan says:

As I told my family.there has got to be a fingerprint on the duct tape.being sealed to the skin where the water could not have destroyed the evidence. The brother Lee knows the truth and it will eat him up for the rest of his life.sad but true.

    13. Loves Kids says:

I am just waiting for one reporter – just one – to say one of the attorneys is going to compare Caylee’s murder with the missing 5 year old girl (hayleigh) and lean towards a multiple offender in the area. I will completely lose it. I know I will. There is one glaring difference between any so-called abduction and the murder of Caylee – it took the grandmother (not even Casey) ONE month to report her missing. Even then Casey did not want to say much to the 911 operator. The operator was much more emotional than Casey was. Casey killed Caylee without a shred of doubt. I really don’t even think it was accidental unless she was in the habit of drugging her so she could go out. I don’t even believe that though unless Cindy refused to babysit while Casey went and partied all the time. I guess the facts will come out in the trial – if there will ever be one!!! Come on already!!

    14. Casey Did It!! says:

Mary Ann – if you are still around – my first thought when I heard the whole Caylee Anthony missing for a month thing – was that Casey might have used her daughter for p0rnography. That is a terribly dark place to go but it happens all the time. I think Casey is a deviant and she is obviously a pysch0path. There is no telling what all she did. I mean if you think about it it makes sense. She could have drugged Caylee while men were doing horrible things and/or taking pictures. Sick, sick, sick. I think that is why she seems so distant. But that’s just me.

    15. Mary Ann says:

To the last poster (Casey Did It!) – I’ve never thought of that scenario before (p0rnography), but I’ve often wondered if Casey just pawned Caylee off to anyone who would keep her out of her (Casey’s) hair, regardless of what type of characters they were. God only knows what horendous things were done to that little girl in her short life. I can’t imagine anyone being such a good liar to be able to make your family, who you LIVED with, believe for two solid years that you were going to a job every day and taking your child to a babysitter. How could so much time in Casey’s and Caylee’s lives be totally unaccounted for? Jamie (another poster on this blog) mentioned that George and Cindy watched Caylee while Casey supposedly worked. Didn’t they both have jobs that they went to? If they were watching Caylee, why then the crazy story about “Zanny the Nanny”? Instead of letting Casey indulge herself in her jail cell by buying snacks and makeup, they should put her in solitary confinement in a dark cell with water dripping on her head, and pretty soon she’d sing like a canary. Maybe they should revert back to the days when prisoners were treated like the convicts they are instead of like guests at a resort. I can’t imagine how Jose Baez could possibly think he can get Casey acquitted of these charges, but then again, I never though OJ Simpson would walk away from a double murder either. Guess it’s not over till it’s over.

    16. Jamie says:

I am sure the Cindy or George did not work around the clock. Assuming that one or the other would be around in the evenings to watch Caylee when Casey wanted to go out. I recall what Jesse Grund said..that Casey started to change after she met the other guy. In his own words.. Casey was a good mom prior to that time. I don’t believe the new guy had the same feelings for Caylee as Jesse did and Casey knew that.

It is fortunate for the innocent peope who have been fasley convicted of a crime that we do not resort barbaric methods to coherse people into confessing.

    17. DeAnn says:

I have watched this since day one and it has been very emotional since this was an act of a mother who murdered her child because she didn’t fit in a lifestyle that she wanted to have. When Caylee was convinient then she was loved by Casey but it seems like she was nothing more than a distraction. Thank god that Caylee had loving Grandparents who loved her more than life. They let the disagreements of Casey with them get in the way of getting more involved in their granddaughters whereabouts and that may be the only thing they are guilty of. Justice will be served when it is all over and done with. This beautiful little girl’s life was ended in such a tragic way that it is unimmaginable what kind of mother could snap in that way. For a mother who truly loves their child would go to the end of the earth to make sure that child is SAFE – not to just show no feelings or no LOVE! This is unconceivable! I have faith in the justice system and in this case, it will come out in the end!

Caylee is now an Angel – My prayers are with the Grandparents in their time of need when they will now loose not one but two children. As you can see their hearts are breaking as Casey’s should have been.

    18. Shenelle says:

Well i think we are going to have a big break because they just released new documents including finger prints found on the duct tape. A good source said” it’s not good news for the defense team and death penalty might be back in the table”. That means they have Casey’s finger prints on the duct tape. Well she’s done, finish,no more lies guys…. It’s a big break, the documents will be released by midweek, may be Wednesday…Stay tune

    19. Shenelle says:

They saying now”No fingerprints on the duct tape” but What they have in the 1000 pages documents are not good news for the defense. We will see what’s gonna happen??????????????

    20. Elle says:

It’s not right what she did, BUT CASEY WAS OF LEGAL AGE AND SHE COULD HAVE GIVEN THE CHILD UP FOR ADOPTION AT ANY TIME. So what if her parents “talked her out of” giving Caylee away for adoption? They did not hold a gun to her head!

On another side, see how family pressure can sometimes destroy the lives of more than one person?!?!?!?! Sometimes family members can be disgustingly selfish, like Casey’s parents. They would have been all better off supporting their daughter and taking her emotional needs into consideration, not just theirs or the child’s alone. Forcing or making someone feel obliged to do something always ends up badly.

Perhaps the parents should also pay for their selfish neglect in the situation as well! These days, she could probably sue her parents for it. People can sue for anything these days.

Be your own individual self and make your OWN choices without permitting others to sway you against your will!

    21. Jamie says:

We may never know if Casey REALLY wanted to give the child up for adoption. Personally, I don’t believe anything that comes out of her mouth. Just want her parents would need now, their daughter suing them because she was FORCED to keep the child. If anyone is to be sued her it should be George and Cindy suing HER. Don’t believe Casey was the type of person to be easily swayed by anyone, think that is obvious.

    22. Melanie says:

From watching this sad story from the beginning I have always felt that Cindy was a domineering woman, she seems to want to be in control of everything. I believe the reason they were tip toeing around with Casey on those jail house visits is because Cindy knew that if she pushed Casey then Casey wouldn’t want to talk to them anymore there is clear animosity from Casey towards her mother. I think the Grandparents were trying to grasp at anything to try and get their daughter to speak about what happened that’s when Casey would get angry and not want to talk anymore. I think she planned on killing Caylee whether it was on that day or it was a plan in motion for a while but something made her final decision for her within her own mind I think Cindy and Casey got into an argument once again about Caylee with Cindy possibly belittling Casey once again about being a bad mother in Casey’s mind I think she thought the only control she had was whether or not Caylee lived or died she brought her into this world and she felt as though she had a right to take her out of this world and it would be something that Cindy could not control to Casey that was the ultimate pay back against Cindy. Casey felt as though she would remove the only obstacle between her being the little girl again and her parents which was Caylee, she had no worries or forethought she wanted things back to the way they were before Caylee was born. She held resentment toward her mother and daughter because as the child gets older she starts to identify with the fact of who show’s the most attention to her if Caylee wanted something and Casey said no I can almost guarantee you that Cindy said yes and that would then make Caylee realize that she could get what she wanted from Grandma I think the resentment started bubbling up when Caylee started siding with Cindy and then Casey took it as though they were both belittling her, I know that sounds awful but I have been trying to get my brain around the fact of why would she do it and not feel bad for anybody but herself. Among having a dysfunctional family life I believe Casey is a Sociopath and she is Narsasistic what ever her mental state Caylee suffered. I feel bad for George the most besides Caylee and Cindy needs counseling I know she loved her Grandaughter there is no dought about that BUT she needs to stop believing that everything fits neatly into a little box and that in order to have a workable family she needs to make sure that in the end everything looks good, everything in its proper place, life is not like that when families have problems they work at the problem or issue until its solved, if Casey did not want to keep Caylee and she wanted to give her up for adoption then her parents had no right to tell her no, I think Casey already knew she could not be a mother, she went through the motions of what she thought people expected from her but never really felt that maternal feeling never really felt that bond and love. This is not an excuse for what Casey did because ultimately she deserves the death penalty for what she did no matter how she felt or what her thoughts were she had no right to take the life of her daughter. Caylee was a precious little girl as are all children and my prayers are with her and her family.

    23. cheryl says:

If Casey didn’t want Caylee, she could have given her to her parents to raise…Her mom Cindy always told her that she wanted to get custody of Caylee and kick Casey out of the house. Casey killed Caylee just to get back at her mom and that makes her the worst person in the world. Even if she didn’t want her mom to take custody, she could have given her up for adoption. I don’t feel sorry for Casey at all, but I do feel sorry for George, Cindy and Lee.

    24. Melanie says:

I think that Cindy believes that Casey is guilty of murdering Caylee, it seems to be very important to her though about how the family looks to the public if Cindy denies that Casey had anything to do with Caylee’s murder then she can look like the rock of the family the one that held everybody together here is another point ..right now everybody is talking about Casey and what a bad mother she was but if Cindy makes a statement to the fact that she believes her daughter to be guilty then the camera’s will be on her and George like fly’s on poo some people will think what kind of mother turns on her own daughter, not all people but some. So I think (my 2 cents) that Cindy and George are both backed into a corner the only thing I think they can do is to stand by Casey and let someone else find her guilty.

    25. Jamie says:

Melanie, I think you hit the nail on the head. What a terrible position these people are in, damned if they do, damned if they don’t

    26. Melanie says:

There are some things that I am not quite clear about though, when Cindy called 911 she told them the last time she seen Casey was on June 7th but that Casey stole her car on June 30th,(if she last saw Casey was on June 7th then why didn’t she report her car stolen right away this indicates to me that Cindy knew that Casey had the car) This is in the 911 call on July 15th, but Cindy’s my space comment on July 3rd could make one think that she already knew that Caylee was gone??

The last time that George and Cindy saw Caylee was Father’s day that was on June 15th, (the theory is that Casey killed Caylee on the 16th of June) The odd thing is that Cindy first tells the 911 operator that she wants someone arrested for stealing her car on June 30th, THEN she says there is a possible missing 3yr old?

And that her daughter just admitted to the fact that the babysitter had her, I don’t believe that Cindy believed that for one minute I think her and Casey got into a huge argument about where Caylee was Cindy threatened Casey possibly that if she didn’t produce her Grand child that she was going to call the police on her for stealing the car and money.

What I don’t get is why Cindy and George forgot the last time they saw Caylee, because if Cindy were to believe Casey on the original story of her being missing since the 9th of June and the 911 call didn’t come in until July 15th Casey said that Caylee was then missing for 30 days but that would be 36 days not 30.

But if we were to back track the 30 days from July 16th then the last time that Casey saw her was on June 15th Fathers day, she was telling the truth that IS the last time she saw Caylee alive because the theory is that Casey killed Caylee on June 16th the day after Fathers day, June 15th to July 15th is 30 days the 911 call was placed on July 15th.

So Casey could not have possibly seen Caylee for the last time on June 9th, she accidentally told the truth when she said that she had not seen Caylee for a month.

If I am missing anything here let me know.

    27. michael v. says:

so here is what i think.. on fathers day casey realized that her father loved caylee more then her and she could not stand for that..she said that she and her father had a shatterd relationship,i wonder what happend there.. is it possible casey was sexully abused bt her dad and she found out that george was doing the same to caylee so casey killed her to protect her. and now the parents have to protect casey or she will expose george.. who knows , these are just my thoughts…

      • Kay says:

Michael V you are a moron. Are you a failed law student by any chance. People like you are pathetic. Dont type “your thoughts” into the public domain of the web. Tell your shrink…you utter fool and idiot

    28. Crissy says:

I know Casey done it but the question is why? On top of that she won’t even crack. She don’t care and if this was my child I would have to come forward. She seems to be a good mother gone off of the deep end.
People like that don’t deserve to be blessed with children.

    29. Melanie says:

I think Casey was just jealous of Caylee ..remember when she broke up with her boyfriend because she said that he loved Caylee more than her,,,I mean how odd is that ..she is self centered and its all about her she did not want the responsibility of a child, a child at that age goes through temper tantrums and the gimmies lol (trust me I know I have 5 kids) so at times it can be very stressful …but Casey didn’t want Caylee to begin with and got tired of putting up with her not being felt sorry for …like I said Casey makes it all about her to hell with everybody else.

    30. mary sanders says:

What is it about these heathen’s that everyone just keep’s looking the other way? I’m just one old woman, from Ky. but I’ll tell u this,I went to jail because a woman threatend my unborn grandson,I didn’t wait to see if she would really do it ,I knocked the HELL outta her and spent a night in jail, but my Grandson is now 11yr’s old and he’s my sweet crazy’dogbreath”.So why..HOW,could they wait a month asking that “twit” where is Calley? and excepting such ludicruious answer’s as ZANNY THE NANNNY…HORSE HOCKY!!I think they knew, but didn’t have the gut’s to confront that sorry excuse for a human…As I said I’m an old woman but EVERYONE knows what ZANNY’S ARE..ZANNY’S,FOOTBALL’S,BLUEBERR’S…….I didn’t just fall off a turnip wagon yesterday.Get your head’s outta your ***, and get real justice for that sweet innocent baby. OH!just one more thing, she’s probably in a better place than they will ever be!!!!!!

    31. Jamie says:

Someone mentioned that Jesse Grund had said that Casey was jealous if his relationship with Caylee, he (Jesse)also stated that he believed that was an excuse that she used to break up with him, as she had found someone else at that time. I also believe that.

    32. Melanie says:

Caylee’s death was uncalled for Casey had many options and chose none. I agree that Caylee is in a better place. She was beautiful.

    33. Jamie says:

At least there is now proof the Lee is NOT Caylee’s father.

    34. me says:

It’s this simple: Casey’s boyfriend was upset because he couldn’t see her very often because she couldn’t get her mom to babysit Caylee every time she wanted to go out and have a good time. Caylee was cramping her style. With her daughter gone, Casey was free to go out whenever she wanted to….and she did. Just another case of a woman choosing a man over her children. I also think that a lot of the times that she did go out and told her mom that Caylee was with Zani, she was really in the trunk knocked out asleep with chloroform. The last time she put her to sleep with chloroform so she could go out and have fun, she just gave her too much. The duct tape was to keep her from yelling just incase she woke up before mom Casey was done partying. I don’t think Cindy and George are guilty of anything except wanting so badly to believe that the daughter they loved could ever to anything like this. At least they love their child more than Casey did hers. Maybe with time they will except and be able to do what’s right to get justice for Caylee, even if it is helping to put their daughter in prison for the rest of her life.

    35. Melanie says:

I think that Cindy’s true colors came out in that interview with the attorney’s and unless George doesn’t know it he cannot tell a lie lol you can see right through him. It’s like I said before all Cindy ever worries about is how anything will reflect on her and what her family looks like. It’s selfish of her to take the side of Casey when Caley is the one who suffered, She needs someone to stand up for her. And it looks like nobody is.

    36. Merilee says:

With the passing of time, Casey has painted herself into a corner that to my mind is inescapable. Still, evidence damning to her defense continues to emerge. Baez’s latest defense strategy is to explain Casey’s total lack of concern for the whereabouts and welfare of her child for 31 days as “ugly coping.” Well Casey is ugly alright. From where I sit, Casey killed her daughter, and she wasn’t coping with any negative emotions about it at all. She was celebrating her new freedom. This is the way I see it, and I’ll bet the jury will see it this way too.

    37. Jamie says:

From the very beginning of this terrible tragedy I have felt that Casey never intended to kill Caylee. I 100% agree with the statement made by ME on April 15. She thought she knew everything and the use of chloform would provide her with the freedom she nedeed to party. Chances are that had she stayed with Jesse , Caylee would be alive today.

I must say that the release of every bit of information from the state of Florida is outrageous. It compromises her right to a fair trial, which regardless of how the public, feels she is entitled to in this country.

      • The State of Florida may appear to release all but they do not. As a lifetime Floridian and friend of the court I know this to be true.

I have to say that I have had my oldest child live with me since becoming an adult off and on as well as my grandchildren. She has emotional issues. I have been up front with her when an intervention was needed. Sometimes she has been vindictive and moved to parts unknown with my grandchildren in tow. I have gone through the worst hell…the hell of not knowing. I have tried with several states to have the children checked on to be sure no compromising situations went unnoticed. I am leaving out a lot here, but believe me, there are times I could have been portrayed as domineering Cindy. However, I would never be portrayed as, ‘I accept being in the dark and/or I could not see deceit in my child’, after all, I am her mother. I have done my best to bring all my children up with values. Good ones. They have had discipline and been taught the value of hard work. They have been taught that no moral job in any capacity is demeaning. They also know that I am here for them through thick and thin. I haste to add they also know I call a spade a spade, even when it involves my own description. My daughter has said she ran because she wanted to do things she knew I would not approve of and therefore could not do it where the possibility of facing me with it existed. Now she is older and understands she could never run from herself. She has apologized for things she has done and has mended her life as well as her children’s lives. She made some bad choices. She grew older; she learned to take responsibility for her actions and realize her hell was self imposed and therefore could be made non existed by that same person-herself. I am proud of the strives she has made and continues to make in her life and the lives of her children. I am most proud that she could not bring herself, even after leaving for this purpose, to abort her 3rd child. She said she heard my voice whenever she was doing things that were not ‘right’. She gave that child over to her Dad and I to raise as our own. We keep our daughter involved in her life. She is a beautiful young lady and I am thankful daily that my daughter was unable to abort her. She raises her other two children now on her own. She has become a very good mother. She still has times she needs away from them (but thankfully no longer years at the time) to get in touch with herself and pick back up with their lives and hers better for the break (usually no more than a day at the time or a weekend passes by).
When you have a daughter you expect so much more when they have children but you have to be careful not to judge less ye be judged by the same manner of which ye mete out. I actually take issue with the Grandparents in only one manner and that is that they have given their lives to upholding the law. I say they as Cindy had to support George when he went to the dept. every day until he retired. Officers see so much but Homicide detectives see much more and I believe they should be even more accountable in a situation like this as, I agree, the signs of deception had to be there. I also realize that many times paranoia is an officers friend. On the flip side, had they followed their daughter about, she could have then come against them with stalking, harassment, and no telling what else she would have come up with that would have been upheld by our court system. It’s tough to protect those that are no longer ‘yours’ as adults and/or those loved ones that are their children-your grandchildren even when prior events have been a part of official charges against one or both parents. But, as hard as it would be they need to let the law-our justice system- work its way and not try to influence it.
How hard this is for them. I so am there with them. Life is never simple and things or people-even Cindy- are not always what you see. Their torment may seem to us the public temporary-bit it will last a lifetime for them long after we have moved on.
As to Lee-’I believe everything my sister tells me’-what a statement! I have 6 brothers and 2 sisters. Never have they always been truthful. Lee does not appear to naive to me. I too believe he could contribute much to the conclusion of this case. Even if he had to bear embarrassment in front of his folks for not coming clean as to the extent and length of his knowledge of little Caylee’s demise, he should do what he can as soon as he can-for them and for himself.
I know how this area of our state is. There are lots of young folks making their cash by ripping off people and reselling the electronics they take. There is lots of child exploitation. There is an abundance of me first in all ages of our population and that is why they have come to our great state. There is an abundance of cash changing hands for the ‘use’ of children. I refuse to think about those uses as there are too many horrors that happen. We the voters, need to make our laws tougher, support the officers in more pay, and in giving our own families a responsible upbringing.
There would be many disbelievers out there if some of these situations were brought up to you by your best friends. You would scoff. You would shun them. You would downplay the situation and in the end treat them like liars and ask yourselves-why me? Do you get it? You do no not want to believe these things happen much less that it happens in your inner circles-it’s called self preservation through denial. God help us all.
If you find yourself the recipient of such a conversation in whatever context, give it time, think about it and act on it as you would want it acted upon were it you seeking to share a burden with your best friend. Be careful of judgements and advice. If you cannot help, then research the parties or organizations that can and share it. What does it cost? Time. What can that time bring? Saved lives.
I can understand the denial the Anthony family is in. It’s part of grief. I can understand their anger-it’s part of grief. There are many stages of grief and they have much to grieve for, including the loss of a daughter. I wish them peace and may justice prevail.
In parting-Lee: Shame on you! I know you understand that statement and I don’t have special abilities. Unfortunately the FBI does not have a need for code talkers or self aggrandizement during, before, or after homicide investigations.

I am from Canada and have kept up with this case in the last while….I too don’t feel that Casey “intentionally” hurt Caylee….I do however believe that hiding the child and keeping information everyone makes her very guilty. The pictures that you see of her with her child seem very loving…the child was always well dressed…happy…clean…in my opinion…to which I may be completely wrong…I think the child accidentally died (possibly through some sort of neglect) and Casey freaked out and didn’t know quite what to do. But these are just MY feelings on this.
Everyone is entitled in their own opinion…and this is mine.

    39. CODERED says:

“George, Cindy and Lee are now saying they will not testify in the civil suit if it is made public, etc. A bunch of dumb asses.”

Really i mean Really? how is not testifying holding the court hostage. I do not thing that Casey Anthony should take another breath of Gods air, but to say that her parents are conspiring in this plot is mildly nuts.

We as Americans must maintain our rights the best we can. There is little that we can change on our own, and that is why we must try to have the outcome of all of our experiences be the best possible. For Casey’s parents that is what they are doing, they might not know if Casey did it or not, They Might. But either way, if she did it shes gonna fry. No reason for her parents to carry the burden of helping fry their daughter. just be cause one family member is a POS doesn’t mean they all are.

    42. Rose says:

I’ve been following this story for some time now. My special gifts allowed me to see what happened to the little one….her mom hurt her. Caylee’s grandma knows this, but doesn’t want to lose two babies. Blames herself for the way her daughter turned out. It’s very sad. This being said, Tot Mom must be put away since she is ill. She will commit another crime should she ever get out. She doesn’t mind the spot light at all.

    43. Maria Evans says:

Ive been following the Caylee Anthony story sience day 1. I remember the day she was reported missing. Every night I watched the case with Nancy Grace. If I had to put my self in the place of her grandparents idk what Id do. They lost there life’s and I cry for them all the time. Caylee was a beautiful little angel sent to live her life on Earth like everyone of us but she couldn’t even get to 3 yrs. of her beautiful life because her mother had to a demon and kill her. As for Casey I have nothing to say if I started talking about Casey it would not be good and this would definitely be removed. All I can say is Casey needs to burn in he*l for killing this angel and Caylee R.I.P little angel

    44. A.C. says:

This story is so sad. Too bad it’s true.

Families can be so political, everyone for and against one another at the same time.

Every mother feels she has to make her family/kids “look good.” It’s her job, esp. if she does it full-time. If she does it part-time, then she’s criticized for being selfish or not caring enough. The family is a unit and to have to choose between granddaughter and daughter is not something I’d want for anyone. I feel bad for Cindy.

Casey was too young to have a child, by average standards. Those who have fared better are above average in my book. They deserve a medal.

Parents who haven’t made LYING a priority battle (vs. cleaning up your room) tend to need a good amount of control when the child grows up and have a hard time reaping the rewards (being proud of child’s achievements). If you don’t nip something in the bud when the child is young, it will be that much harder to do so when the child is older. Sometimes it’s too late, as in the case here.

Caylee was cute as button. But so is just about every two-year-old I see in the park, including my own. All of them deserve to be loved unconditionally and cherished forever. It is sad when a kid dies, but why is it more sad than when an 80-year-old dies? The 2y/o is at least spared of all kinds of garbage that Life often whirls at you. Just a reflection.

Murder is pure evil. “You cannot serve two Masters; you will love the one and hate the other. You cannot serve both God and Money.” It’s ok to dream of a better life other than the one you’re living, but to step on others to get there or to demand it at the expense of others become evil.

“Unless the Lord builds the house, the laborers labor in vain.”

    45. Kristi says:

I have been all over this since they brought Casey out in handcuffs!! I knew that she was responsible the minute she looked at the cameras and smirked that evil little snarl. I believe that there was a power struggle in the home between Cindy and Casey and Casey decided that Cindy would not win in respect to raising Caylee. Casey knew how much Caylee meant to George and Cindy and took Cindy’s power away through Caylee’s death. I don’t think Casey thought much about it ( by putting Caylee in the trunk/car and drugging her to put her to sleep) because this was common practice for her when she went about her “single life” (partying, dating, day to day living). The sticker was placed there to signify she (not Cindy) was the last to “kiss” Caylee and the tattoo, I feel, just a reminder that she rid her life of the one thing that held her back or took attention away from her so now it’s time to live it up.
She knew when they were dragging the pond that Caylee was not there so that’s why when they broke the news she had no reaction. She hyperventalated when they found the garbage bag. She knew they found Caylee. Cindy plays Caycey and that is evident when she was questioning her about what else she could do to help find Caylee. Sad. The Anthony’s are living through something that noone can relate to. But when you know your child as well as Cindy and George know Casey coming to truth sooner rather than later will help with the healing.
I don’t know if I am just uncaring or unsympathetic but I could not stand to look my daughter in the face if I knew she killed my grandchild.
Looking forward to the trial. P.S. i think Casey is sleeping with Jose. Just my opinion

    46. Christy says:

I get sick to my stomach when I see Casey in all her nasty pictures! How could she go on knowing she killed her daughter…I can’t wait till the trail, she will get everything she deserves in the end!

    47. Jason's mommy!!! says:

All I have to say is this is the most sickening thing i have ever heard. I would with no questions asked die for my child To live life to the fullest, not kill my child so I could live mine to the fullest. As I see it she did not deserve that beautiful little girl. There is a special place in hell for people like her! Life in prison would not even come close to serving justice for what that monster of a mother did to her poor helpless little girl. Women like this do not even deserve to have the compliment of being called a mother. Her only job was to protect and lover her baby but she was just to selfish to do that. I hope she gets just what she deserves.

    48. alyssa says:

dum lady she just wonted to party……. and thats not a eggscues

    49. Tina says:

This story is just so sad. No matter how you look at it, she killed her daughter and needs to be punished severely. I personally say knock her out with chloroform and duct tape her mouth then throw her in the trunk of a car and leave her there. But thats just my opinion!!!

      • Sandra H. says:

“An eye for an eye”, eh? Well I agree! Do the same to that bit.ch what she did to her daughter. What a beautiful little girl…how could she kill her own baby like that? I would love to see her suffocating with duct tape over her face. I’d laugh.

    50. christy of nevada , texas says:

I think casey killed her little girl cause she got in the way of her partying. what gives her the right to take the life of one of gods angels sent down from heaven? casey deserves what she gets and more! rest in peace little angel!

    51. aileenvh says:

    52. Jada says:

One us truly blessed n is filled w love the instant she conceives …. Evidentally this poor girl is mentally I’ll. No mother in the right state if mind would hurt their child. God bless the grandparents ….

    53. jaimee says:

I hope Casey gets the death penalty for sure. I also think if her mother hadn’t been so interfearing in her life, Casey may not have grown to hate her daughter, I thnk she was jealous of the love Caylee got from her parents and also may have felt her mother was taking her away from her, I can see this. Yet Caylee would have had nothing had her mother didn’t. But I still think it starts from the mom to the daughter to the daughter, and she should take blame also. Casey was already feeling insecure because she had alot of issues, and was a very sick girl. Her mother should have noticed some of this, and talked more with her, instead of telling her–this is wrong, that is wrong..I think all she did was tell her how bad of a mother she was instead of showing her how to be a good mother. But I still want her to die.
