The recently deceased Michael Jackson and Farrah Fawcett are both topping the lists of hot costume ideas. As for living celebrities, reality TV star Kate Gosselin and singer Lady Gaga have topped the lists.
As for children’s costumes, Disney characters and superheroes are popular choices.
Vampires are also a top choice this year.
“I think vampires are popular now because of the movie ‘Twilight’ and the HBO series, ‘True Blood,”’ said Randy Israel, owner of the Magical Mystery Tour costume shop, in a Chicago Sun Times report.
And the recent news story “Balloon Boy” has prompted a Balloon Boy costume kit.
