Obama Nation is The New York Times bestselling book by Dr Jerome Corsi in which the author analyzes the life and career of Barack Obama.
Its controversial and the timing may lead one to conclude that the author is trying to latch onto Obama mania that has gripped the nation and the world, which I think is safe to add after Obama’s rock star like reception in Europe.
Since Fox is featuring the book on Hannity and Colmes, there are no surprises as to what kind of audience it is going to pander to and appeal.
From what initial reports I have seen and read, the book falls flat on its claims. In fact one of the first accusation to be made in the book pertains to Obama’s drug use.
Basically the author is trying to say that Obama was not forthcoming on this subject, but the facts are old news and everybody who has investigate this a bit knows Obama confessed to “getting high” and said he stopped using it when he joined Columbia as an undergraduate and moved to New York.
The book clearly has an agenda to push against Obama, Democrats, and Liberals (though I think liberals sometimes push it too far themselves) by all means possible and at times if there is not much evidence available to backup the allegations, then – to hell with the truth – is kind of attitude displayed throughout in the book.
However, one thing Obama camp should keep in mind is that this is the same author who wrote about John Kerry’s Swiftboat issue that created a huge ruckus in the last elections.
Obama camp would do well to not let their gaurd down against these kind of tactics.
Not fair reporting on your part to totally diss this book. McCain and Obama are running neck to neck, I am sure republicans want the rest to know the truth about Obama.
As journalist, you should know that any book that has 700 footnotes has been well researched……you do know what a footnote is, don’t you or do you write like most left wing hacks and use the term “un-named sources” as the basis for your facts? Read the book and follow the footnotes and you will see that Corsi uses Obama’s own autobiography as the source for a lot of what he writes! That being said, one last comment…….YOU ARE AN IGNORANT MORON!
Oh great, Jerome Corsi’s at it again, slandering up the only hope our country’s got. But, if you’re looking for a book of filthy lies and trying to figure out if Corsi’s is for you, check out the table of contents. How about Chapter 2: “If only I could smoke my own radiance.”

yes, i agree with Paul. how can you call yourself a “journalist” and then say this book is just a tactic of the GOP…try reading something in its entirety before reviewing it and deciding what it is about. what the heck kind of journalist are you?? oh yes, the kind who doesnt want the public to know anything about obama unless it is your SPIN on it… and yes…with over 700 footnotes, quotes from obamas own book and extensive reserach (many things that even can be found by a layman when one reads many sources…that SHOULD have been reported by the liberal press months and months ago…but intentionally was not) the truth about who obama is..all his lifes associations an his actions are finally going to be heard. TOO BAD—he is finally going to get vetted…as it should be and as anyone running for commander in chief must be.
why do you suppose that very little is being mentioned about this book in the liberal media?i believe it is because they know the TRUTH is in there, (700 footnotes doesnt that tell you something???)and they are finding it hard to spin it…so rather than have to face the facts about who obama is…and has been, his communist connections, radical ideas and flat out flase historical perspective of himself…the liberal media is just ignoring the book and its facts. thank goodness for fair and responsible news sources who believe in getting out the facts–telling people about the book…suggesting to people to READ THE BOOK…decide for yourself etc…(which journalists should do-just report on a story…we are big boys and girls…we can make our own judgements)the

The timing of the book? Am I to assume that he wrote it last month?
I’ll reserve judgement on the book until I read it. I’m not blinded by Obama’s rhetoric, which is saying a lot considering that I’m a black man who is “supposed” to be giddy and excited about this guy. At least that’s what everyone seems to think.
You should try reading the book as well. You may have a more informative review if you do.
The fact that Corsi questions Barack Obama’s integrity by stating that he might have been using drugs while he was in the senate because he used drugs when he was a kid is laughable. Let me get this right…if you did it once, you’ll do it again…right? Well, Corsi – you have lied once and you are clearly doing it again. I like how Corsi uses sources like Andy Martin, an anti-semitic, right wing blogger who has zero credibility. The idea that there are people out there that consider this garbage gospel only reaffirms my notion that there are a lot of stupid people out there. How many hundreds of thousands of copies did the GOP buy to make this a best seller? Those of you who actually purchased this book, you may want to reevaluate your priorities and get an enema.
