You can still purchase these DVD’s from websites at a steep discount. Often for way lower than the “refund” Disney is offering. Looks like someone can arbitrage this baby (einstein!) and make some bucks for spending on diapers — which is definitely useful.

So, my question is, what gives?!

I used to let my babies at my daycare watch 10 to 15 minutes a day with these videos. Not only did they love to watch them but they also starting learning from them at all ages. I love the videos

With the news that Disney is offering refunds for their Baby Einstein videos, parents may be more willing to keep their babies and toddlers away from the set. If they need more motivation, I suggest reading the book, The Big Turnoff: Confessions of a TV-Addicted Mom Trying to Raise a TV-Free Kid (Algonquin 2007) by Ellen Currey-Wilson. It’s inspiring and hilarious (better than your favorite sit-com), and sure to make any parent think twice about using the electronic baby sitter. The author also wrote a great piece about Baby Einstein videos a couple of years ago when the controversy was just beginning.

I agree with some of the parents saying why get money back. Who would think kids would benefit from TV. That you buy the videos for entertainment.On the flip side i purchased them thinking hey maybe they can benefit from this since they advertise that and you buy them for an outrageous price that is my problem with this. So if they do not work then i want my money back and i will buy a video for entertainment for 5 dollars then instead of 15 to 20 dollars a piece.

I bought the DVD’s for my Parrots and they love them and have learned from them. They love the music and the animal ones. I thought they would become geniusses from watching them too, but all they have learned is how to tell color, the difference between farm animals and their sounds, and what the diffence is between a trumpet and a piano. America is sew happy, this would never ever happen in Europe. I wonder why the economy is crumbling or has already done so.

My child is now 7 years old. She watched any of the Baby Einsteins that delt with music. She would watch and listen and bounce and “sing” along with the music. My child has done well in school and to this day loves music and art as well as her regular subjects (math, reading, SS, science). She has such a desire for learning that at times she makes me jealous. Now I know that Baby Einstein did not do this alone but us working and reading with her and exposing her to all kinds of art and music. But… I like to think it helped.

Get over it. My goodness, it is not hard to figure out that television is not good for children. The main reason people put their children in front of the T.V. is to keep them busy. Do people actually think that babies would learn from watching T.V. They are videos for ENTERTAINMENT, and that is what they were purchased for, refund for what?!

My mom puchased an entire box set, that was well over $60.00, how can she get a refund? My kids NEVER liked these videos, nor did they make a difference in their learning. They have learned more from Noggin, than these videos. Please provide more information about how to be refunded?

Which baby einstien videos? There are lots of them. How do we get a refund? Can you provide more information?
