A chartered Raytheon Hawker 800 crashed at a regional airport in Minnesota while trying to land in a thunderstorm killing everybody on board.
One of them survived the fatal landing but died while en route to the hospital.
The company that owned the plane said the crew was from Pennsylvania and they know who the pilots were, Clark Keefer and Dan D Ambrosio, but identities of the passengers are still not confirmed.
The flight started from New Jersey and crashed on the runway in MN where it was trying to land.
Unfortunate incident. Take it as an act of god, and I doubt if anything could be done differently to save human lives.
As a reader commented below, different dynamics like weather etc keep changing mid flight and its hard to predict whats going to happen next.

crashes happen, thats the sad fact of life. even the best tools cannot save man from death.
As a professional pilot with thousand of hrs in the very same type of plane, weather is a major part of flight planning. Weather changes constantly and will change and move from the time the fight left 2 hrs prior. We do everything in our power to keep flights safe.
Yeah, maybe aviators should consider weather reports before they depart on a flight.
wow tech banyan, that was real tricky changing my post like that! I’m sorry for the comment earlier but you should resist passing judgment with regard to some fellow professionals who just lost their lives and stick to what you know which at first glance seems to be a typical leftist view.
Keith, I don’t know what beef you have with me.
I am no aviation expert and I proffered what I thought would be a logical point –
if the crash took place because of a thunderstorm, why not gather information on the weather beforehand –
but like Kevin mentioned, and I might add, in a civilized manner, weather keeps changing and its hard to keep track.
You might know the ins and outs of aviation but don’t expect a layman (me) to know this.
What do leftists or rightists have to do with this issue?
And I apologize about editing the comment, my bad, but you ought to show some decency as well. Its not like I am disrespecting the dead.
I have been quiet lenient about commenting on this site. Check the comments here for instance –

OK, and again I apologize for my tone. And as for the Leftist comment, I guess I was reacting to what little I read about some Obama book review or something. It’s just that plane crashes get such a huge amount of media coverage which is so often so distorted. The conclusive report won’t be out for a year or so and already the preliminary data suggests that “trying to land during a thunderstorm” was not what happened. So it seemed as though commenting that pilots should check the weather was a little inappropriate or was just about stirring up people like myself.
