Illegal Alien Costume
An illegal alien Halloween costume has created quite the controversy. The costume includes an alien mask, a green card and an orange jumpsuit with the words “illegal alien” written across the front.
The Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights asked Target stores and a costume company to stop selling the costume stating that it is offensive to immigrants. They called it “distasteful, mean-spirited, and ignorant of social stigmas and current debate on immigration reform.”
Target removed the costume from the site after receiving several complaints, and said it was offered online by mistake.
