Step Brothers Soundtrack is getting rave reviews and the movie is supposed to be hilarious. The critics did say it was a good movie that keeps you engaged but never makes you laugh your guts out. However the average movie goer, which would include me as well, is finding the movie hilarious.
Although I haven’t seen the movie, I’ll hedge my bets on the movie being a laugh riot. Yesterday I was watching old school and even though I have seen the movie umpteen number of times, I realized I am never going to get tired of it for whatever reason.
And before that I again got a chance to see Kicking and Screaming. Again. Even though I knew whats going to happen, Will Ferrel crying like a klutz when explaining the problem to Mike Ditka made me LOL.
If you have weekends plan to visit the neighborhood theater, Step Brothers would be a recommended choice.
As far as music is concerned, Its a big attraction as well but then music taste is more subjective. I liked it, so give it a shot and you might as well.
The Hoof’s Greg Saunier, he plays drums, producer/multi-talented Jon Brion, and Wilco avante-guitarist Nels Cline are all joining hands to play for Step Brothers original sound track. This could also imply they are the creative brains behind the show. There are studio reports that the music is improvised.

I just saw the movie. It was a big dud. I will only recommend it those whom I want to have a hard time.
I saw the movie last night, I thought it was pretty funny. Actors did a great job of portraying the mindset of young kids. Not a huge Will F. Fan, but I thought this was well worth seeing.
