What a bald eagle is to Americans, Bears are to Russians. They have been depicted in stories, games, advertisements, even in various national expressions like the flag of the top political party in Russia.
But in the present times, the perception is fast changing.
Around 30 thirty huge gigantic and voraciously hungry Kamchatka brown bears have already killed and eaten two men at a platinum mine in Russia’s Far Eastern Kamchatka region and appear to be hunting for more.
These brown bears, which can stand 10 feet tall and weight some 1500 pounds have the people of the region cowering in fear. Worse than any bear is of course, a man eating bear.
With public mood changing fast against these terror inducing fears, there are plans to exterminate these bears completely from the face of the earth. Besides government mandated hunting, even the poachers would find it good going to take all the bears in the region down.
What should be the correct policy of handling such a scenario. I think these people ought to see a grizzly bear documentary that was made on the american bears found in the famous Yellowstone National Park and brought back from the verge of extinction.
Maybe we should just have a mass killing of all wild life, instead of the slow death we are giving them now. We taking away their habitat piece by piece,and then force them out to kill them anyway. when not doing that, we are poisoning the water and earth, what’s left of their food supply. We better hurry to another planet, we have surely depleted this one.
