When officers arrived Wednesday night to investigate complaints, almost half of the 40 people assembled fled by foot, Henry County Police Capt. Jason Bolton said on Friday. A man who later returned to the scene, identified as DeAndre Cortez Way, Soulja Boy’s real name, said the group was shooting a music video.
The rapper was charged with obstruction and bonded out of the Henry County jail on Thursday, The Associated Press reported.
Soulja Boy is best known for an Internet dance craze several years ago with his hit, “Crank That (Soulja Boy).”
