I have mostly come across Farmer’s market but now another market with a simpilar play of name is becoming popular quite a bit. It’s called Black Market and it is located in Columbus, Ohio [Aviation state!].
The market is situated at
2579 N High St
Columbus, OH 43202
614-263-9266
The place is basically famous for clothing. I am not sure if it really caters to any particular race although the name does somehow suggest that.

The name does not really suggest that. Do you even know what a black market is? Jeez.
Not really, I am not from Ohio.
the name suggests nothing such as what race it is for. you should do your research on the black market, not the store, but the actual black market
wow. someone is a bit tunnel vision when it comes to the mention of color. >_< if you think you have to live in ohio to know what a black market is, you’re not very educated.
Black is a color. It could be the noun as well. I don’t know in what context it is called Black market.
Take White House for example. Is it called White because its white in color, or simply the name is White without any connotation to the color.
So, using your same logic, you’re saying the name White house suggest that it is only available to a certain race.
Did you even research the store?
Does Taco Bell cater only to Mexicans?
You realize you are helping my point, right?
Black Market, if it’s what I think it is, is owned by Kelli, who survived about five episodes of the latest season of “Project: Runway”, a reality show on Bravo TV for fashion designers. She was the winner of the first episode.
BTW, she’s a blonde headed white chick. I don’t know if she has any particular clientele, but from where her shop is, it’s probably young, hip, etc.
Linda, thanks for the updates! Everybody please read what Linda has to say.
black is a shade or neutral not a color.
sarah you’re a bit blind sided. it is a name of the store. it does not suggest that there are any illicit activities nor does it pertain to be marketing to a racial group pertaining to the “black” name. do you judge every book by its cover? not a way to go through life…
the store was a second hand vintage shop. the owner, kelli, is a fashion designer in columbus, ohio.. and a pretty cool chick. the store no longer exists and is online only.
